The Opportunity:
To support our expansion in Korea, we are seeking a Business Development Director to drive new customer acquisition and accelerate revenue growth. In this role, you will target key OEMs and end-users, managing the entire sales process - from identifying prospects to closing deals.

 

You will play a critical role in building Pelagus 3D’s presence in the Korean market, working closely with stakeholders to foster long-term partnerships and deliver tangible value to our customers.

We are particularly interested in candidates with strong local networks and a background in industrial sectors such as maritime, offshore, or energy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify, approach, and engage key decision-makers at strategic accounts.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, partners, and industry stakeholders.
  • Represent Pelagus 3D at trade shows, conferences, and industry events to generate new leads.
  • Apply a consultative selling approach to understand client needs and tailor value propositions.
  • Manage opportunities through the full sales funnel to meet or exceed revenue targets.
  • Develop proposals and lead commercial negotiations to close new business.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (Business Development, Marketing, Customer Success) to continuously improve the sales process and value delivery.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in a business, engineering, or related field.
  • 7+ years of B2B sales experience with a proven record of closing deals and exceeding targets.
  • Demonstrated success in managing complex sales cycles, ideally with OEMs or industrial customers in Korea.
  • Strong commercial acumen and the ability to understand and articulate technical solutions.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Native-level Korean and professional proficiency in English
  • Comfortable working independently and collaboratively within a regional and global team.
  • Proficiency with CRM systems (e.g., HubSpot) and strong skills in Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Prior experience in additive manufacturing or digital inventory solutions is a plus.
  • Willingness to travel regularly within Korea for customer visits, events, and site meetings.
  • Must be eligible to live and work in South Korea without visa sponsorship.
