Business Development Director, Vote By Mail
Ultimately responsible for attaining revenue and market goals in the Vote by Mail space for BlueCrest. The VBM market includes government jurisdictions as well as service providers who process VBM ballots in part or whole. It includes software, printers, inserters, sorters and DF Works products.
Roles and Responsibilities
The director will bear direct responsibility for the following:
- Attainment of agreed upon sales goals and targets.
- Ownership of overall sales strategy to attain these goals.
- Accurate and timely updating of sales forecasts, pipelines and revenue
- Support communication between sales and stakeholders regarding needs, challenges, support etc.
- Help increase sales team effectiveness through training, information sharing and use of industry specific tools and templates
- Involvement and assistance with sales executives and individual transactions, as appropriate, such as:
- Sales strategy collaboration
- Presentations and proposals
- Bid/ RFP responses
- Pricing strategies
- Service strategies
- Manage sales to industry partners/ resellers (Voter Registration, Voting Systems, Dealers, etc)
- Represent BlueCrest with designated strategic groups or accounts (Election Center, NASS, state level initiatives, etc)
In addition to the above and in coordination and collaboration with other stakeholders in the organization (Marketing, Engineering, Service, Sales etc.), the director will lead or participate in:
- VBM market analysis, targeting and strategy
- Determining effective sales coverage strategies and plans
- Review and prioritization of product enhancements or customizations for VBM needs
- Product rationalization discussions in support of VBM goals bring industry perspective
- VBM marketing and promotional plans/ events
- Defining and adherence to sales support and contractual processes for ReliaVote transactions
- Determining group alliances and participating as appropriate
- Decisions regarding VBM related lobbying and consulting efforts
- Calibration of goals to quotas for VBM
