The Team - Business Development

Are you interested in being at the forefront of a market strategy to grow a leading Oracle NetSuite practice? Do you enjoy leveraging your professional network and helping them solve high stakes business challenges? Do you take pride in your ability to listen and really understand client problems? Our NetSuite Practice is MorganFranklin’s largest Enterprise Applications practice, and we are looking for a Business Development Director to help accelerate its growth. Our practice leads the market in working with high-growth middle market companies looking to transform their Financial and Accounting function leveraging NetSuite Application Suite.

We are seeking a market-facing professional with deep management consulting and technology sales expertise to work with our client service teams to advise senior client executives and cultivate opportunities with new and existing clients. This role works closely with the firm’s executive team and subject matter experts to help mature our financial services market strategy and develop and capture new business. You will also collaborate consistently with our broader business development team. This role comes with unlimited earning potential as the practice grows.

Your Impact

  • Partner with the Client Service, Vertical Industry team, Business Development, and Marketing to advance and execute our go to market strategy
  • Cultivate new relationships with relevant decision makers as well as key influencers and strategic partners in the marketplace
  • Leverage your network to develop and capture new business and achieve sales targets
  • Build, maintain, and grow trusted executive level relationships with relevant mid-market and high-growth clients
  • Take the lead on developing strategies to pursue targets and build relationships
  • Communicate target profile to help drive go to market strategy
  • Lead effort to work with internal partners and external market partners on strategizes to increase deal flow
  • Identify prospects and leads for new business, qualify opportunities, and manage the end-to-end sales cycle
  • Support client pursuits and advise client executives on their business strategies for growth, transformation, and risk management
  • Manage a portfolio of target accounts and drive strategic account targeting program activities
  • Collaborate with other members of Business Development & Marketing team to deliver on our go to market strategy
  • Lead and/or participate in the creation and delivery of sales presentations, proposals, and SOWs as necessary.
  • Qualify and coordinate response for inbound business development leads generated by marketing or other professionals
  • Update and maintain Salesforce (CRM), including pipeline maintenance, to include detailed documentation of business development activities and support of sales process

Your Experience

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in business (finance, accounting, etc.) or a related field
  • Familiarity with MorganFranklin’s core services
  • 10+ years of experience working in a high-performing sale function – expanding in various verticals (ideally Services, Manufacturing, Technology, Customer Goods, PE)
  • Experience leveraging professional relationships with CXOs and other critical senior-level influencers to achieve business objectives
  • Proven ability to generate $5M+ revenue annually
  • Experience developing written deliverables and oral communications strategies to communicate complex service offerings and value propositions.
  • Demonstrated track record of navigating difficult client situations and leveraging high emotional intelligence to resolve client challenges.
  • Demonstrated track record for sourcing large, complex Finance Transformation projects

Preferred Qualifications

  • Hands on experience delivering services similar to MorganFranklin’s core services
  • Previous experience developing and launching a go to market strategy in professional services
  • Experience with Salesforce.com
