The Business Development Director (BDD) is the strategic relationship and capability leader for highly complex healthcare consolidators and emerging care delivery organizations (Retail Health, Women’s Health, Value-Based Care, Digital Health). Acting as the primary enterprise integrator, the BDD anticipates market trends, aligns and integrates internal stakeholders and resources, and drives multi-year partnership strategies and roadmaps. This highly self-directed leader thrives in ambiguity and translates future-state strategy into tangible business growth and durable shared value.
Pay Range: $160,000 - $230,000/year + Sales Incentive Plan
Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, and, where applicable, certifications obtained. Market and organizational factors are also considered. Successful candidates may be eligible to receive annual performance bonus compensation.

Responsibilities
- Enterprise Partnership Strategy: Develop and execute multi-year partnership strategies for complex consolidators. Success: Sustained competitive positioning and durable shared value creation.
- Market Intelligence & Foresight: Anticipate shifts in retail health, women’s health, AI, and regulatory environments. Success: Translating emerging trends into proactive, actionable business strategies ahead of the market.
- Capability & Business Planning: Translate client needs into business, operational, and technological priorities. Develop robust business cases. Success: Effective resource prioritization and reduced risk of missed opportunities.
- Cross-Functional Leadership (Matrix Navigation): Lead alignment across commercial, operations, finance, IT, and legal teams without direct reporting authority. Success: Mobilizing the enterprise toward solutions and breaking down silos.
- Executive Engagement: Deliver complex strategic updates, performance insights, and market analysis to senior internal and external stakeholders. Success: High-trust relationships and seamless leadership alignment.
Required:
- Experience: 7+ years of progressive leadership in healthcare strategy, business development, consulting, or partnership leadership.
- Matrix Leadership: Proven success influencing decisions, resource allocation, and cross-functional initiatives without formal authority.
- Strategic Acumen: Deep capability in business case development, financial analysis, opportunity assessment, and systems-thinking.
- Market Knowledge: Deep understanding of the healthcare ecosystem, emerging care models, and enterprise relationship management.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
Preferred:
- Domain Expertise: Experience in retail health, women’s health, value-based care, diagnostics, and/or healthcare consolidation.
- Experience supporting enterprise-level partnerships, strategic accounts, or complex multi-stakeholder relationships.
- Experience in strategic planning, consulting, program management, product management, operations leadership, or business transformation.
- Experience working across commercial, operational, technology, and executive stakeholder groups.
