The Business Development Coordinator supports the growth of Marvel's franchises by coordinating business development initiatives across Marvel Comics. This position focuses on coordinating projects, tracking deliverables and ensuring that partner and licensee activities align with brand and business objectives.
Responsibilities:
- Support the development and execution of business projects, including Marvel Custom Solutions products and business development initiatives.
- Assist in coordinating project timelines, deliverables, and asset flow to ensure all aspects of assigned projects are managed and processed accurately and on schedule.
- Collaborate with multiple internal lines of business to gather information, share straightforward updates, and confirm understanding of requirements and next steps.
- Help prepare presentations, decks, and supporting materials for pitches, internal reviews, and partner meetings, ensuring alignment with brand guidelines and business objectives.
- Assist with product and brand approval processes by coordinating with creative, marketing, and licensing teams to confirm that products and materials meet Marvel standards.
- Maintain accurate records, documents, and tracking tools (e.g., spreadsheets, presentations, Airtable) related to business development activities, partner status, and project progress.
- Build foundational relationships with internal stakeholders and licensees by responding to routine inquiries, sharing clear information, and demonstrating a curious, proactive, and learning-oriented mindset.
- Support pricing, contract intake, & custom billing processes by coordinating with Sales, Print Production, Legal & Project Management partners.
Basic Qualifications:
- 2+ years of relevant experience in business support, coordination, or related fields such as events or production.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to follow established procedures, receive instruction and guidance from others, and perform routine assignments with attention to detail.
- Curious, proactive, and resourceful mindset, with readiness to ask questions, check understanding, and build foundational expertise over time.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills for exchanging straightforward information with internal teams and partners.
- Basic proficiency with productivity tools such as presentation software and spreadsheets to support tracking, reporting, and deck creation.
- Ability to manage multiple routine tasks, organize information, and meet deadlines with appropriate support and direction.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of Airtable, SharePoint, Microsoft Suite, Adobe Suite.
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Advertising, Marketing, Communications, Film, or related field (or equivalent experience).
