About The Role
Our Short Lets team specialises in prime and super-prime rental properties, working with high-profile clients and delivering a bespoke service within one of the most dynamic areas of the lettings market.
We are seeking an experienced Short Lets Business Development Consultant to join our Central London lettings offices. This role is focused on driving instruction growth, identifying new opportunities, and maximising the potential of both internal stock and external market leads.
Key Responsibilities
- Proactively source new short-let opportunities across Prime Central London
- Identify and target “quick win” opportunities within existing stock
- Convert internal and external leads into high-quality instructions
- Attend valuation appointments to support business growth and diversify role exposure
- Cover 4–6 offices per week, building strong internal relationships
- Meet with Lettings and Sales Heads of Department to review:
- Current stock lists
- Suitable short-let opportunities
- Proactively contact and assess all viable stock during office visits
- Unlock opportunities within existing inventory to drive additional instructions
- Identify and approach properties currently listed with competitors
- Focus on high-probability conversion opportunities within the market
- Build a strong pipeline of external prospects to drive new business
Expectations of the Role
- Operate in a high-volume, activity-driven environment (calls, meetings, follow-ups)
- Maintain a strong focus on conversion, revenue generation, and measurable results
- Take a proactive and commercially driven approach to business development
- Work collaboratively with internal teams to maximise opportunities
- Liaise with other departments and offices to maximise cross-selling opportunities
- Work closely with the Head of Short Lets and support additional initiatives as required
Experience
- Ideally 3+ years’ experience in a client-facing, sales, or business development role, preferably within property
Skills & Attributes
- Confident communicator with strong sales and negotiation skills
- Commercially minded, with strong numeracy and literacy skills
- Energetic, proactive, and results-driven
- Client-focused with a high level of professionalism
- Strong team player with the ability to work independently
