Position Overview
As a Business Development Associate (BDA) at Piano, you will collaborate with our sales and marketing teams to identify and cultivate new business opportunities for our Analytics product line within North America (US, Canada). This role requires a strong outbound motion, requiring strategic thought and a proactive approach to engaging both mid-market and enterprise accounts. Your efforts are crucial in building and contributing to the growth of pipeline and delivering frontline feedback from prospects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Pipeline Development:
Generate consistent,
early-stage leads through multiple channels, including calls, emails, LinkedIn, event attendance and post-attendance outreach. This role is outbound-driven and measured on your ability to create qualified meetings, not just activity volume.
- Qualification: Conduct discovery calls and qualify prospects to establish meaningful connections with decision makers and buying stakeholders. You’ll assess interest, commitment, and urgency to strengthen your qualified conversion rate.
- Analytics Expertise: Utilize your understanding of Piano Analytics, the leading behavioral analytics platform, to illustrate how our solutions moves businesses forward with AI, understanding their users, and clean data foundations.
- Cross-Functional Motion: Work alongside Sales and Demand Generation (Marketing) to identify priority campaigns and develop strategic outreach plans to drive results.
- Networking:
Build and nurture your professional network on LinkedIn Sales Navigator to identify ideal prospects, establish relationships, and convert leads into sales.
- Data Management: Use tools such as Salesforce, Gong, and Clay to target, sequence, and accurately forecast leads in your pipeline.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Required minimum of 2+ years in outbound lead generation in B2B SaaS or similar industry.
- Results-Driven: A goal-oriented mindset with a demonstrated ability to work independently, take initiative, and deliver on goals.
- Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with digital analytics and/or the banking, healthcare, retail/e-commerce sector is a plus but not required.
- Location: Candidates must be willing to commute to Piano’s beautiful office downtown in Philadelphia, PA
