As part of our continued growth, we are expanding our Newbuilding Supervision business and are looking for a commercially driven professional to join our Global Business Development team.

About the Role

We are seeking a proactive and customer-focused Business Development Associate to support the growth of our Newbuilding Supervision business globally. In this role, you will identify new opportunities, build relationships with key maritime stakeholders, prepare commercial proposals and tenders, and coordinate closely with internal teams to secure and develop new business opportunities.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys combining market intelligence, customer engagement, and commercial execution in a dynamic international environment.

What You'll Be DoingBusiness Development & Customer Engagement
  • Identify and develop new business opportunities within the newbuilding supervision market.

  • Build and maintain relationships with shipowners, investors, leasing companies, shipyards, and other industry stakeholders.

  • Participate in customer meetings, presentations, exhibitions, and industry events.

  • Conduct regular customer engagement activities to strengthen relationships and identify future opportunities.

  • Develop professional networks within shipyards to facilitate effective collaboration between owners and shipyards.

Market Intelligence & Opportunity Development
  • Monitor global newbuilding activities, fleet expansion plans, leasing developments, and shipyard trends.

  • Track industry developments and identify potential business opportunities.

  • Maintain and develop a database of target customers, projects, and market insights.

  • Provide market intelligence and competitor analysis to support commercial strategies.

Commercial Proposals & Tender Management
  • Prepare and coordinate customer proposals, tenders, presentations, and commercial submissions.

  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to gather and consolidate proposal inputs.

  • Manage submission timelines and ensure high-quality, timely delivery of customer proposals.

  • Support clarification meetings, customer follow-ups, and post-submission activities.

  • Continuously improve proposal templates and commercial materials.

CRM & Internal Coordination
  • Maintain accurate customer and opportunity records within CRM systems.

  • Support sales pipeline reporting, forecasting, and opportunity tracking.

  • Coordinate customer handovers from contract award through project commencement.

  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure timely responses to customer requirements.

Who We're Looking For
  • Bachelor's degree in Naval Architecture, Marine Engineering, or Nautical Science.

  • Postgraduate qualification in Business Administration, Management, or a related field from a reputable university is an advantage.

  • Strong commercial mindset with a passion for customer engagement and business development.

  • Excellent communication, presentation, networking, and stakeholder management skills.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

  • Proactive, self-motivated, and able to work independently.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.

  • Fluent in written and spoken English.

  • Willingness to travel internationally as required.
