A Day in the Life

The Digital Technologies Business Unit (DTBU) at Medtronic is implementing cutting-edge AI technology, computer vision, and augmented reality in the operating room (OR) to augment surgical coaching, and eventually, performance. Our goal is to deliver safer surgery around the world. Our Touch SurgeryTM Video solution is an innovative video management and data analytics platform for hospitals that includes the DS1 Computer, our first OR device, allowing surgeons, OR team members, and trainees to securely access videos of their procedures shortly after surgery.

We are seeking a high-performing Sales Representative to join our Digital Technologies team, responsible for selling Medtronic DS1 and Livestream platforms to hospitals across Nordics region. The ideal candidate will have a strong sales background in healthcare technology, excellent relationship-building skills, and a passion for driving business growth.

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:

  • Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve sales targets for the DS1 and Livestream platforms.
  • Identify and engage key stakeholders within hospitals, including executives, clinicians, and IT personnel.
  • Conduct product presentations and demonstrations, articulating the value and benefits of the digital platforms.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including Customer Success Specialist, IT, and legal, to manage the sales process from prospecting to closing.
  • Negotiate contracts and manage business agreement to ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Maintain a deep understanding of the competitive landscape and market trends to identify new sales opportunities.
  • Provide post-sale support and foster long-term relationships to drive product utilization and customer satisfaction.

Required Knowledge and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, healthcare, or related field.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of sales experience in the healthcare technology, medical device, or capital equipment industry.
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • Strong understanding of hospital operations, purchasing processes, and IT infrastructure.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Proficient in spoken and written English.
  • Willingness to travel extensively within the country/region of responsibility.

Experience selling digital health technologies or medical equipment to hospitals, including managing long sales cycles and budget approvals is considered a strong asset. Familiarity with hospital IT systems, cybersecurity, and patient data privacy, along with the ability to engage key stakeholders like procurement, finance, and executives, is a plus.
