Job Description

The Business Data Analyst is an essential part of the Global Operations Controlling team. In line with the goal of the area of providing meaningful information for the management team, as a result of an efficient and robust report preparation, it´s focus will be on enhancing transparency, and guaranteeing accuracy of the analysis, while implementing a higher level of automation in our internal processes, to increase its efficiency.

 

Your tasks:

  • Automation of standardized Reporting processes
  • Analysis of plant reports (focus points, exceptions, etc.)
  • Develop and deploy dashboards to collect data-backed insights
  • Increase data availability and on-demand reporting
  • Preparation of standardized plant benchmarks
  • Participation in month-end processes and yearly budget preparation
  • Support business intelligence strategies with quantitative analysis
  • Visualization of Financial & Performance data enabling max. transparency to support management decisions
  • Work cross-departmentally on data-driven strategies that improve business processes and decision-making

Qualifications

  • Academic degree in business, industrial engineering or comparable
  • First proven experience in a Controlling/Finance function or similar
  • Expert knowledge in Office 365 Data Analysis tools (namely Excel and Power BI),
  • Solid understanding of modern data analysis methods. “KNIME” is an advantage
  • Strong analytical focus and motivation to take ownership of the tasks/processes
  • Clear communication with stakeholders
  • Excellent capability to structure, to visualize and to document.
  • Ability to work efficiently in virtual teams, as well as autonomously
  • High level of responsibility and results-orientation, while being a reliable team player
  • Fluency in English

Skills Required

  • Academic degree in business, industrial engineering, or a comparable field
  • First proven experience in a Controlling or Finance function, or similar
  • Expert knowledge of Office 365 data analysis tools, namely Excel and Power BI
  • Solid understanding of modern data analysis methods
  • Strong analytical focus and willingness to take ownership of tasks and processes
  • Clear communication with stakeholders
  • Ability to structure, visualize, and document effectively
  • Ability to work efficiently in virtual teams and autonomously
  • High responsibility and results orientation, with reliable teamwork
  • Fluency in English
  • Knowledge of KNIME
