Job Description

We are building out our operational resilience capability, and this is a newly created role to lead it. As our Business Continuity Program Manager, you'll own our Business Continuity Management System end to end: the framework, the plans, the exercises and the assurance work that sits behind them. It's a genuinely enterprise wide remit, spanning every business unit and site as we continue to grow across Australia and Asia. 

You'll be the person the business turns to on continuity and resilience, and the person our customers, auditors and regulators deal with when they want to understand how we'd respond to disruption. 

  • Newly created role with scope to shape the program from the ground up 

  • Enterprise wide exposure across Technology, Risk, Facilities Management, GIOC and Customer Success 

  • Direct line to senior leadership and the BC Steering Committee 

  • Work across critical infrastructure regulatory frameworks including CPS 230 and SOCI 

  • Real influence on customer contractual outcomes and assurance activity 

  • Growth environment across Australian and Asian markets 

Your responsibilities will include: 

  • Owning and maturing NEXTDC's Business Continuity Management System, aligned to ISO 22301 

  • Leading the Business Impact Analysis program and setting RTOs, RPOs and MTPDs across critical activities 

  • Coordinating the development and maintenance of Business Continuity Plans across business units and sites 

  • Building organisational readiness through business continuity training and awareness across all business units 

  • Designing and running the annual exercise calendar, from tabletop sessions through to full scale multi site simulations 

  • Maintaining audit and certification readiness across ISO 27001 and ISO 22301, and meeting obligations under CPS 230 and the SOCI Act 

  • Supporting customer reviews, audits, questionnaires and joint exercises, and tracking contractual BC and DR commitments

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated experience managing a business continuity, disaster recovery or operational resilience program, ideally in critical infrastructure, data centre, financial services or another regulated environment 

  • Working knowledge of ISO 22301, APRA CPS 230 and the Security of Critical Infrastructure Act 2018, or equivalent frameworks 

  • Proven track record designing, facilitating and evaluating continuity exercises, including with external customers or regulators 

  • Strong program and project management skills across multi site environments 

  • Confident communicator who can hold their own with executives, regulators and customers 

  • Business continuity certification (BCI, DRII or equivalent) and a relevant tertiary qualification preferred

Skills Required

  • Demonstrated experience managing a business continuity, disaster recovery, or operational resilience program, ideally in critical infrastructure, data centres, financial services, or another regulated environment.
