We are looking for a Business Continuity Engineer to join our team.

The Service Manager for Shared Services ensures the strategic development, management, and optimization of Shared Services offerings across Data Center Operations, IT infrastructure (PaaS), communication platforms, and end-user services.
She/He leads the creation and continuous improvement of the Shared Services catalog, focusing on innovation, cost efficiency, and service quality for both Quipu and its customers.
The role acts as a bridge between technical teams, business stakeholders, and clients to ensure that Shared Services are competitive, efficient, and aligned with organizational and market needs.
What your key responsibilities will be:
You are accountable for the design, implementation, enforcement, and continuous improvement of Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery (BCP/DR) frameworks in accordance with DORA (Digital Operational Resilience Act) and banking regulatory expectations.
Ensure that ICT architectures, technologies, and operational processes demonstrably meet DORA requirements for ICT risk management, operational resilience, and service continuity.
Define, standardize, and enforce BCP/DR standards, patterns, and recovery architectures across the organization.
Design cost-efficient, risk-based DR solutions that balance RTO/RPO, service criticality, regulatory expectations, and financial constraints.
Own end-to-end recovery architecture, including compute, storage, backup, networking, and orchestration layers.
Translate business impact analyses (BIA) and regulatory requirements into technical recovery strategies.
Incorporate lessons learned from tests and incidents into BCP/DR plans, technical designs, and standards.
Maintain and continuously improve recovery runbooks, escalation models, and decision frameworks.
Act as recovery lead during disaster scenarios, coordinating technical and organizational recovery activities and driving decision-making under pressure.
Provide expert input and leadership during major incidents, crisis situations, and disaster declarations.
Prepare and deliver regulatory-ready documentation, evidence, and reports for audits, supervisory reviews, and customer assessments.
Formulate risk acceptance recommendations where regulatory or business requirements cannot be met in a cost-effective or technically feasible manner, including clear impact and mitigation options.
Skills and experience we expect from you:
Completed training in an IT profession, university of applied sciences degree in computer science or comparable knowledge.
Knowledge and understanding of the DORA (Digital Operational Resilience Act) regulation is considered a significant advantage.
Proven hands-on experience in BCP and DR design and execution within regulated financial or banking environments.
Deep technical expertise in: Hyper-V, Nutanix, Veeam Backup & Replication, Cisco networking, Azure
Strong understanding of DORA, ICT risk management, and operational resilience requirements.
Solid grasp of RTO/RPO definitions, service classification, dependency mapping, and recovery prioritization.
Experience designing cost-optimized DR architectures (backup-based recovery, warm standby, pilot light, selective redundancy).
Demonstrated ability to challenge business and regulatory interpretations and translate them into technically sound solutions.
Strong leadership skills with authority to drive decisions and enforce standards.
Experience coordinating cross-functional and cross-site recovery teams.
Excellent analytical and documentation skills with an audit-oriented mindset.
Very good written and spoken English.
Ability to communicate complex resilience and recovery concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders and management.
Willingness to participate in BCP/DR tests, crisis simulations, and real recovery activities outside normal business hours.
