Business Consultant (Planning & Execution, WMS)

This role will focus on design details, assist in configuration, testing of BLUE YONDER products, and support customer activities and go-live and under supervision of Senior Business Consultants or Solution Architects in Japan.

Blue Yonder Japan is currently seeking Business Consultants for any of Supply Chain Planning, Logistics, Warehouse Management, and Transportation Management.

­What you’ll do:

Support implementing BLUE YONDER solutions by understanding how the solutions can be configured and delivered to better facilitate customer business processes, ensuring ability to design, execute and deliver.

• Solution Design
  • Be able to understand customer business operation and requirements
  • Understand functional design, prepared by senior business consultant that meets the customers’ business objective
  • Understand functional specifications for modifications, interfaces, reports and screens prepared by senior members
  • Bridge communication between Japanese customers and senior business consultants outside Japan
• Development and Test
  • Configure designed solution with direction and assistance from senior business consultants
  • Manage functional actions and issues in spreadsheet and facilitate all other members to closure
  • Develop and execute system test scripts to ensure BLUE YONDER software consistently meets the customer's business objectives 
  • Validate data provided by customers to meet BY’s data requirements
  • Provide user support and verify that the system provides the required business functions and maintains data integrity during UAT
• Cutover and Post Go-live Stabilization
  • Ensure migration is successfully done by checking implemented functionalities.
  • Organize knowledge transfer with key customer project team
  • Provide customers’ business operation support during the cutover and hypercare period 

What we are looking for:

• Experience of working in Supply Chain business
  • Understanding any of Planning Solution, Logistics, Warehouse Management and Transportation Management domains
  • Conceptual knowledge on functionalities in S&OP, Demand Planning, Supply Planning, Factory Planning, Logistics, Warehouse Management or Transport Management experience is highly advantageous.
• Project implementation experiences in Supply Chain domain (preferred)
  • Solution designing with customers (hearing requirements and solution design)
  • Testing UI, system configuration, data, business operation scenarios
  • Reading/writing SQL working with database tools like TOAD is a plus
• Communication
  • Good communication with customers, establishing client relationships and analytical skills are highly advantageous
  • Verbal, written and interpersonal skills required in Japanese
  • Verbal and writing English skills needed mainly for internal communication with BY members outside Japan

• If the candidate has less experience in supply chain domain or of project implementation, BY will provide product training for better understanding and shadowing actual implementation activities in real projects
