ResponsibilitiesAbout the role:
The Business Automation Analyst - Business Solutions & Transformation focuses on evaluating and identifying opportunities where automation, AI agents, and process redesign can create meaningful business impact.
In this role you will:
- Assess current business processes to identify automation and agentic AI opportunities.
- Facilitate process discovery and process mapping activities.
- Evaluate operational pain points and inefficiencies.
- Recommend automation, AI, process improvement, or data-driven solutions.
- Build business cases and value assessments for transformation initiatives.
- Partner with business teams to prioritize opportunities and define future-state processes.
What makes you an ideal candidate?
- Knowledge of automation assessment, lifecycle methodologies and documentation best practices.
- Lean Six Sigma Green/Black belt certification preferred.
- Automation certification in Automation Anywhere, Blue Prism or UiPath preferred.
- Knowledge of GM Financial or another auto finance company core business functions, policies and procedures a plus.
- Experience with various automation and productivity tools.
- Skilled in the use of low code technology and the development of automation solutions.
- Active listener and strong communication skills (both verbally and in writing).
- Proactive in building relationships with business partners.
- Organized and willing to do administrative tasks.
- Ability to use good research, data, and judgment when solving problems or making recommendations.
- Ability to demonstrate integrity in the management of work demands and pressures.

- Proven track record of solving difficult problems in an enterprise environment required.
- 1 year working on automation or other technology initiatives as a business analyst or other applicable role preferred.
- Experience working with both the business and IT to deliver business value preferred.
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience preferred.
