Step into the fast-paced world of investment banking as a Business Assistant. Your expertise will support senior stakeholders and drive business success in the EMEA Currencies & Emerging Markets team.
As a Business Assistant within the EMEA Currencies & Emerging Markets team of the Corporate Investment Bank, you will be responsible for providing high-level support in a dynamic and demanding environment. Your role will be pivotal in managing the schedules of senior stakeholders, safeguarding confidentiality, and maintaining a strong focus on business and client deliverables.
Job responsibilities

  • Manage advanced, proactive diary scheduling, including meetings and conference calls.
  • Support travel and entertainment bookings, ensuring compliance with policies.
  • Handle internal and external client interactions and coordinate departmental activities.
  • Collaborate with support groups and business management across lines of business.
  • Utilize internal systems for data entry, reporting, and information collation.
  • Oversee distribution lists, technology usage, and administrative tasks.
  • Integrate into the business to understand priorities and expectations.
  • Partner with assistants across lines of business for coverage as needed.
  • Engage in PowerPoint presentations, projects, and training opportunities.

  • Professional client handling and relationship-building skills.
  • Competency in diary management with good judgment on priorities.
  • Strong executive communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Experience in arranging travel and creating accurate itineraries.
  • Demonstrated proactivity and ownership in the role.

  • Awareness of expense systems and cost control initiatives.
  • Polished, professional demeanor with the ability to work under pressure.
  • Positive, common-sense approach to managing senior schedules.
