We are rapidly expanding our mission and looking for passionate team members to join. Abby Care has partnered with leading insurance plans, healthcare providers, and community organizations. We’re supported by top, mission-driven VCs to empower families throughout the country.

The Role

We’re hiring a Business Applications Manager to build and own Abby Care’s business applications function. This is a Full-time On-site position based in San Francisco, CA. This role reports into the Head of Operations. This is a high-ownership role responsible for designing, scaling, and operating the systems that power how we grow - starting with Salesforce, our communications stack, and core operational tooling.

You’ll wear multiple hats including as an architect, administrator, developer, and long-term owner of our systems layer: stabilizing what exists today, leading complex migrations (including telephony), and designing a flexible foundation that can support new workflows, service lines, and go-to-market motions over time.

You’ll partner closely with Operations, Product, Engineering, Analytics, Finance, and Sales leadership to translate real-world workflows into scalable systems. Success in this role is about sequencing, judgment, and building the right foundation over time, not solving everything at once.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Platform Ownership & Architecture
Own the end-to-end design and evolution of our Salesforce-centered platform, establishing scalable architecture, data models, and governance that balance immediate needs with long-term flexibility.

  • Systems & Integrations
Lead vendor management and the rollout of communication and telephony tools, while designing and managing integrations across CRM, phone, billing, analytics, and internal systems to ensure data integrity, security, and reliability.

  • Enablement & Adoption
Partner with Operations, Sales, and Care teams to translate workflows into system requirements, and build the training, documentation, and enablement needed to drive adoption and effective use.

  • Team & Function Leadership
Manage and develop a small BizApps team, set operating cadence and priorities, and define clear ownership of what the function owns, supports, and influences.

  • Operational Insight
Enable robust reporting and dashboards, improve visibility into funnels and handoffs, and reduce manual work through thoughtful system design.

The Requirements:
  • 6+ years of experience in business applications, systems, or platform operations with deep, hands-on Salesforce expertise across architecture, administration, automation, and data modeling.

  • Proven track record leading major system builds, migrations, or re-architectures, and comfortable mentoring or managing a small team.

  • Strong systems thinker with sound judgment on when to customize versus standardize, and experience designing for scale within complex environments of 10+ integrated tools, including telephony or communications platforms.

  • Experience with translating complex, real-world workflows into clear system requirements and partnering cross-functionally with Operations, Product, Engineering, Finance, and Sales. Able to clearly communicate tradeoffs and constraints to non-technical stakeholders.

  • Experience in an ownership-oriented and pragmatic, treating systems as products rather than tasks, with a thoughtful approach to sequencing, change management, and operating calmly in fast-paced, ambiguous environments.

  • Certification in Salesforce App Builder, Salesforce Platform Administrator, Salesforce Solution Architect, HubSpot CRM Implementation Accreditation, Platform Data Architect is preferred

  3. Relentlessly Resourceful
As an ambitious startup, we adapt quickly and make the most of limited time and resources. We solve challenges with creativity to deliver results without unnecessary complexity.

  4. Purpose with Positivity
We take our mission seriously while never losing sight of the people behind the work. Respect, kindness, memes, and coffee make us stronger as a team and better for the families we serve.

  5. Driven to Redefine What’s Possible
We are here to make healthcare better, which means asking hard questions, challenging outdated systems, and finding smarter, more compassionate ways to deliver care.

Benefits:
  • Competitive compensation packages that reflect the value you bring. We reward our team for the impact of their work – full-time employees are eligible for an annual company performance bonus.

  • Comprehensive health coverage that works for you. We cover 90% of your premiums and 70% for your dependents, with multiple PPO plan options to choose from for medical, vision, dental, life, and short-term disability.

  • Generous paid time off. We provide policies that allow you to recharge along with 10 paid company holidays.

  • Team bonding. We love bringing our teams together. As a full-time employee, you’ll get to connect, collaborate, and have fun through team activities and our annual company retreat.

  • Financial savings benefits to support your future. We support your financial well-being with HSA contributions, optional FSA and commuter benefits, and full coverage of all 401(k) account fees (employer match not currently offered).

  • Paid parental leave to support your growing family. We provide paid leave, so you can focus on bonding and adjusting to life as your family grows.

We are an equal opportunity employer and welcome applicants from all backgrounds, consistent with applicable laws. Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a background check, satisfactory references, and any required documentation.
