The Business Applications – Finance Lead plays a critical role in directing the planning, execution, and optimization of enterprise-wide business systems with a focus on finance operations. This role will collaborate cross-functionally with teams in Finance, HR, Marketing, Sales, Supply Chain, and other key business units to ensure systems support Neogen’s strategic goals and operational excellence.

This role follows a hybrid model, combining in-office and remote work. We offer flexibility in scheduling to accommodate individual needs while maintaining team collaboration.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Lead the planning and coordination of enterprise-wide systems, with a primary focus on finance-related applications.

• Conduct feasibility studies for new data processing solutions or updates to existing systems in alignment with business needs.

• Prepare cost estimates, development budgets, and project timelines for system implementations and enhancements;

  Monitor project design and execution, and provide clear and timely updates on project status

• Present system project proposals to leadership and cross-functional stakeholders.

• Define and implement development standards and documentation protocols for finance applications.

• Continuously review existing systems and provide recommendations for improvements to drive efficiency, accuracy, and scalability.

• Partner with functional leaders to understand system requirements and identify opportunities for improvement.

• Lead, develop, and mentor team members to support successful execution and continuity of finance system operations.

• Demonstrate and maintain a strong internal customer service orientation.

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Information Systems, Business Administration, or related field required.

• Minimum of 8 years of experience with business systems management and financial systems leadership.

• Proven experience in leading enterprise application initiatives with a focus on financial systems (ERP, reporting, compliance).

• Strong understanding of business process mapping, financial operations, and digital transformation.

• Experience presenting to executive stakeholders and translating technical solutions into business outcomes.

• Skilled in budgeting, forecasting, and project planning within a systems environment.

• Demonstrated leadership and team development capabilities.

• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
