Your role
You will be the interface between Finance and Data Analytics, supporting various teams of the Finance & Accounting department with customized data reports and dashboards to get the right information and subsequently make decisions.
You will
- Support all Finance workstreams with critical data analysis (SQL and Excel / Gsheets)
- Present actionable insights using strong data visualization and communication best practices, highlighting the "so-whats" of the analyses to help your stakeholders make the right data-driven decisions
- Extract meaningful insights from data, creating light data pipelines if needed, and delivering results through dashboards, reports, or one-off analyses
- Work very closely with stakeholders of all levels (from juniors to MDs), critically think along, and involve them in predefined key milestones to ensure you deliver the most valuable analytics in the most efficient way
- Become part of the data ecosystem at Forto where analysts collaborate, connect cross-functionally and support each other in improving their technical skills and ways of working
What you bring
- 2+ years working experience in the area of data analytics or similar role at a fast growing company
- Knowledge in finance/accounting/logistics is a plus (e.g. FinTECH, InsurTECH, LogTECH company)
- Strong data analysis skills using SQL (Python or others as a plus) as well as a proficient way of working with Excel or Gsheets (financial modeling as a plus)
- Experience using visualization platforms (e.g. Tableau, Google Data Studio)
- Analytical and diligent way of working with a high level of attention to detail and ability to prioritize and overcome setbacks to deliver best results
- Team player with hands-on mentality and effective communication skills to guarantee good stakeholder management
- Fluent language proficiency in English, German as a plus
