Business Analytics Manager

Data touches nearly every part of Betenbough, from sales and construction to finance, purchasing, warranty, and the way we lead our people. As the Business Analytics Manager, you will lead the team that makes sure the data our company runs on is accurate, accessible, and trustworthy. That matters both for the people who use it and for the AI tools that increasingly interpret it on our behalf. This role blends hands-on data leadership with real people leadership: building the business context our AI tools need to give accurate answers while growing a team capable of getting us there.

How You Will Contribute

In this role, you will:

• Own the accuracy and trustworthiness of company data everywhere it is used
• Design and build ecosystems that combine business knowledge, domain-specific details, and data to give AI products and tools faster, more accurate access
• Give our data the business context AI agents need, including definitions, terminology, relationships, and guardrails, so they return answers that are accurate, not merely plausible
• Inform, equip, and train leaders to get insight into their own operations through self-service and AI tools
• Partner with related teams on data architecture, shared definitions, and common standards
• Equip, train, and coach your team daily to understand the business so they can proactively surface insights
• Earn your team's trust through consistent personal engagement and encouragement, because this role cannot be led from behind a screen
• Build a team culture where errors are surfaced quickly and without fear
• Monitor team capacity, advise on hiring needs, and hold team members accountable to Betenbough Core Values and their Role Values, always with grace and truth

Required Qualifications

• Must be eligible to work in the United States
• Strong experience writing complex SQL queries
• Experience with Microsoft SQL Server, data architecture, or data design
• Experience with data warehouses or enterprise BI data models
• Hands-on experience working with large language models (LLMs) and data, such as connecting AI tools to data sources or giving them the context to answer accurately
• Working understanding of data modeling, ETL, or data warehousing concepts
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to translate technical information into insight that both technical and non-technical stakeholders can act on
• Ability to organize the work of a team, follow through on commitments, and communicate next steps clearly across departments

Preferred Qualifications

Experience or familiarity with:

• Leading, coaching, and developing a team, ideally within data, analytics, or a related technical function
• Tableau or another reporting or visualization tool such as Power BI
• Building data dictionaries, business glossaries, or other documentation that gives data its business context
• Python or other scripting tools
• Self-service reporting solutions and training leaders to use them confidently
• Homebuilding, construction, finance, or operational reporting
• Third-party data integrations

Work Environment

Office-based role in Lubbock, TX, in a temperature-controlled environment. Requires regular computer work and ongoing communication with team members, stakeholders, and vendors across the company. Must be able to perform all job expectations safely, with or without reasonable accommodations.

Hours & Schedule

40 to 45 hours per week, Monday through Friday, typically 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Occasional after-hours support, meetings, deadlines, or inter-region collaboration may be required.
