Job Summary

The Business Intelligence / Analytics professional will design, develop, and test Operations Analytics solutions with a strong focus on health‑insurance data, operational metrics, and insights generation. The role requires the proven ability to interpret and refine business requirements, work with complex health‑insurance datasets, and deliver accurate and meaningful insights using modern BI and analytical tools.

Role Responsibilities

- Build high‑impact visualizations and dashboards that translate health‑insurance operational data into clear, actionable insights.

- Deliver BI/analytics solutions with uncompromising quality, incorporating strong testing and validation—particularly for healthcare operations metrics.

- Communicate progress and insights proactively with management and internal stakeholders.

- Establish, refine, and document processes involving multidisciplinary teams across health‑insurance operations.

- Balance recurring MIS requirements (daily/weekly/monthly reporting) with the development of new MIS/BI builds.

Solution Capability

- Architect BI solutions of varying complexity using both static (Excel/Access) and dynamic (SQL/Oracle) health‑insurance data sources, ensuring alignment with business requirements.

- Identify gaps in health‑insurance data availability and determine the most effective path to deliver insights using existing tools and methodologies.

- Build sustainable solutions using offline and online data sources, while collaborating closely with technology teams on long‑term enterprise data strategies.

- Proactively identify opportunities to automate operational reporting and analytics—demonstrating measurable efficiency and productivity gains.

Business (Health Insurance Focus)

- Strong knowledge and prior experience in the Health Insurance industry is required, including experience working with claims, membership, utilization, provider, or operational performance datasets.

- Demonstrated ability to interpret health‑insurance data to understand key performance drivers, segment trends, root‑cause issues, and downstream operational impacts.

- Proven experience driving improvements in operational metric reporting and MIS within health‑insurance environments, working closely with internal and external stakeholders.

Cross‑Functional

- Knowledge and prior experience in Health Insurance operations, with the ability to translate data‑driven insights into business‑friendly narratives.

- Strong communication skills to deliver clear insights to senior leaders—especially when discussing complex health‑insurance metrics.

- Ability to adapt, multitask under pressure, and handle shifting priorities effectively.

Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in computer information systems, Business Administration, Data Analytics, Health Informatics, or equivalent (preferred).

- Overall 8+ years of experience with 5+ years of programming/analytics experience specifically in the health‑insurance industry, with deep familiarity with health‑insurance datasets and metrics.

- Strong expertise in QlikView, Qlik Sense, SQL, Excel, and Microsoft Access (required).

- Advanced analytical mindset with strong problem‑solving skills, especially in interpreting health‑insurance data.

- Experience advocating for data‑driven decision‑making and leading change across teams.

- Nice to have: AWS, SharePoint, SAS, Excel Power Query, Power BI.
