The Role

Counterparty Credit Risk Data Analytics Team analyses trade volume and exposure trends to identify and address potential issues impacting exposure calculations and data quality. The team is comprised of risk professionals with subject matter expertise on risk metrics (Pre settlement exposure, net stressed exposure, etc.), products (OTC derivatives, ETDs, SFTs), systems and methodologies in the CCR space. As an integral member of this group, the candidate will work closely with multiple stakeholders across the organization (technology, risk analytics, risk management, etc.) to improve the integrity of the factors, processes and systems used in the calculation of exposure.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct daily analysis of exposure (pre settlement exposure) variances to identify potential issues in the Counterparty Credit Risk (CCR) space.
  • Work with partners/stakeholders across the organization to determine root causes and initiate corrective actions as needed.
  • Assist in risk mitigation efforts for a wide range of products including Over The Counter (OTC) derivatives, Securities Financing Transactions (SFTs), Mortgage Backed Securities, and Fixed income/cash transactions.
  • Maintain reasonability checks on crucial risk/finance attributes.
  • Promote more effective use of existing tools and processes (and eliminate those that are not used or are ineffectual)
  • Focus on Data Quality resolution and track progress of various data quality projects, including technology initiatives and Issues for Management Resolution
  • Work with technology and other key stakeholders in system/model changes impacting Pre Settlement Exposure calculation.
  • Support the development of risk analysis tools and systems, including defining the interface requirements and logic as well as testing and post-release training.
  • Collaborate with various business stakeholders and senior management on ad-hoc requests related to regulatory concerns and data analysis.

Qualifications:

  • 0-2 years relevant experience
  • Relevant experience with Tableau/MS Access/Excel is a plus
  • Strong verbal, written, communication skills and attention to details
  • Resourcefulness with ability to gather, synthesize, and present findings from disparate sources
  • Experience with focus in financial services/products/risk management.

  • Bachelors/University degree or equivalent experience

Primary Location Full Time Salary Range:

$69,050.00 - $96,350.00
