Role is to solve real business problems through strategic decisioning, analytical problem solving and visualization and dashboarding

Business Analytics Responsibilities:

  • Leads analytics to deepen customer engagement through cross-sell and upsell relevant products.
  • Design and implementation of DOEs for in-depth understanding of customer sensitivities to new offer and outreach channels. Drive the philosophy of right product at right time for our customers.
  • Provides actionable overall market and customer insights to address key strategic questions for banking products and understands the campaign management domain | KPIs | ROI | Channels.
  • Identify potential market and market trends to enable agility and drive strategic changes in "how we engage" with our customers.
  • Responsible for analyzing the performance of campaign, ad-hoc analytic requests, and providing recommendations for increasing campaign profitability.
  • Analyzes external and internal customer data using Hive, Python, Excel etc. to identify areas of opportunity across bank customer lifecycle.
  • Evaluates customers’ online/offline behavior and provide insights and recommendations for further enhancements to the targeting strategy
  • Analyzes A/B and Multi-variate tests, communicate results and provide recommendations to improve campaign efficiency and drive budget optimization.
  • Responsible for performance forecasting of campaigns/products for the short-term and long term cohorts, backed up by data and business justifications.
  • Work closely with Marketing, Pricing and Decision Management teams to drive revenue and growth for Bank products and influence decision based on data behavior.
  • Advises other marketing functions (e-commerce/website, online/offline advertising, brand, product development) as the knowledge owner for customer and market data.

Information Management Responsibilities:

  • Client Obsession – Create client centric analytic solution to business problems. Individual should be able to have a holistic view of multiple businesses and develop analytic solutions accordingly.
  • Analytic Project Execution – Own and deliver multiple and complex analytic projects. This would require an understanding of business context, conversion of business problems and implementing such solutions to create economic value.
  • Domain expert – Individuals are expected to be domain expert in their sub field, as well as have a holistic view of other business lines to create better solutions. Key fields of focus are new customer acquisition, existing customer management, customer retention, product development, pricing and payment optimization and digital journey.
  • Communication skills – Ability to translate and articulate technical thoughts and ideas to a larger audience including influencing skills with peers and senior management
  • Techno-functional – Ability to thrive in a techno-functional role that requires not only standardized reporting, but also on demand adhoc analyses
  • Good process/project management skills
  • Ability to coach and mentor juniors.
  • Contribute to organizational initiatives in wide ranging areas including competency development, training, organizational building activities etc.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative discipline or graduate degree
  • Master’s degree in information technology / information systems / computer applications / engineering from a premier institute. BTech/B.E/MCA in Information Technology / Information Systems / Computer Applications. (Preferred) Post Graduate in – Masters in computers
    • 2+ years of work experience in marketing research, statistical or data analysis (or academic equivalent).
    • Good communication skills (both verbal and written) and ability to work with cross-functional partners and team members
    • Great problem solving & strategic thinking
    • Adept at managing and manipulating data using Python, Hive/SQL.

Expertise Required:

Analytical Skills

  • Data analysis & Data Quality
  • Proficient in formulating analytical methodology, identifying inconsistencies, anomalies & patterns with data
  • Generate actionable Business Insights
  • Coming up with automated Techniques to remove false positives

 (Preferred) -

Tools and Platforms      

  • Proficient in Python, SAS, SQL, Teradata
  • Proficient in MS Excel, PowerPoint and VBA

Preferred – Experience one of the below technology area

  • SAS on Mainframe
  • Big Data/Hadoop environment and coding in Python.
  • Development of Tableau Dashboard

Domain Skills

Good understanding of

  • Banking domain (Cards, Deposit, Loans, Wealth management, & Insurance etc.)
  • Audit Framework
  • Data quality framework
