Tribe Account & Payment Factory
The Tribe Account & Payment Factory is responsible for Payment and Current Account processing and related services. In the Area of Transaction Processing, we deliver fast, reliable, and efficient transaction processing 24/7. To ensure that our services are always available, we are also renewing the payment factory, simplifying our payment landscape, decommissioning legacy systems, and migrating to the new tech stack. Your RoleWithin the Area Transaction Processing, the Cross-Border Payments squad is looking for a Medior Business Analyst with a strong affinity for testing and quality assurance. In this role, you play a key part in improving cross border payments and processes, while safeguarding the continuity of this critical payment chain. You will work closely with engineers, the Product Owner, and specialists from our vendor, as this concerns a vendor built, on premises, rule based payment engine.
This position combines business analysis, functional testing, and test strategy, making it ideal for a Business Analyst with a strong quality mindset.

Elicit, analyse, and structure business, regulatory, and operational requirements related to cross border payments and translate these into clear, well‑refined Product Backlog Items for the Product Owner and Team.
Proactively assess the impact of changes, enhancements, and external developments (e.g. regulations, volumes, new payment standards) on the payment engine and ensure it is future proof, scalable, and aligned with the long‑term vision of the payment landscape.
Act as a key point of contact between business stakeholders, IT, operations, vendors, and dependent teams, aligning changes and requirements across multiple systems within the cross border payment chain.
Monitor the continuity of a critical payment application and analyse and help resolve incidents and production issues (e.g. log analysis, queries, impact assessments).
Ensure changes meet operational requirements (stability, maintainability, performance, robustness), and support controlled change implementation in a 24/7 high-availability environment.

You & your talent3–5 years of working experience as a Business Analyst with test expertise
Experience in mission-critical, high-availability banking IT environments.
Knowledge of payment processes and products (preferably Cross-border payments like SWIFT), and payment solutions. High volume transactions, high value payments, 24x7 service.
A T-shaped professional profile (analysis, operations, and testing).
Experience with multiple testing frameworks.
Familiarity with agile ways of working (SaFe, Scrum).
Professional proficiency in English is essential for effective communication within a global team. Knowing Dutch would be an added advantage.
