JOB SUMMARY:
Working on site at the Franklin, TN headquarters as a Business Analyst within the IT department, you will serve as a critical bridge between business stakeholders and technology teams at U.S. Multimodal Group. In this role, you will engage directly with the business to understand their operational needs, challenges, and strategic objectives, then translate those requirements into technical architecture and solution designs for system integrations. You will work across key platforms including but not limited to Microsoft Dynamics Business Central ERP, Mastermind, PortPro, and Turvo Transportation Management Systems, Snowflake Data Warehouse, and PowerBI, ensuring that technology solutions align with business goals and drive operational efficiency. The ideal candidate brings strong analytical skills, process mapping skills, a collaborative mindset, and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
This job is on-site full-time in Franklin, TN. There is no relocation assistance for this opportunity.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Partner with business stakeholders across departments to gather, analyze, and document business requirements or processes for system integration projects.
- Translate business needs into detailed technical specifications, solution designs, and architectural recommendations for system integrations.
- Serve as the primary liaison between business units and IT development teams, ensuring clear communication and alignment throughout the project lifecycle.
- Preform triage of integration failures across systems, determining root cause and resolution paths.
- Analyze existing business processes and workflows to identify opportunities for improvement through technology and automation.
- Support the design, configuration, and implementation of integrations across enterprise systems including ERP, TMS, AI platforms, and other business-critical applications.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation including business requirements documents (BRDs), functional specifications, data flow diagrams, and process maps.
- Facilitate requirements workshops, stakeholder meetings, and user acceptance testing (UAT) sessions.
- Collaborate with end users, technology teams, and vendors to resolve system issues, validate solutions, and fulfill business requests.
- Evaluate and recommend technology solutions that address business challenges while aligning with the organization’s IT strategy and architecture standards.
- Support current IT standards and enforce company information policies and procedures.
- Communicate project status, risks, and issues to senior leadership and escalate non-routine problems as appropriate.
- Perform other duties as assigned by leadership.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, Industrial Engineering, or related field experience.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a business analyst, systems analyst, or similar role.
- Proven ability to gather and translate business requirements into technical solutions and system integration designs.
- Strong understanding of system integration concepts, including APIs, data flows, and enterprise application architecture.
- Experience working with enterprise systems such as ERP, TMS, or similar platforms.
- Excellent communication skills with proven ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders in written and oral form.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with the ability to solve complex business problems.
- Customer-oriented attitude with a collaborative and team-first mindset.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience with PowerBI or other business intelligence and data visualization tools.
- Familiarity with data platforms, AI tools, machine learning tools, or automation technologies.
- Experience with Agile or Scrum methodologies.
- Knowledge of the transportation and logistics industry, including Intermodal, Drayage, Brokerage, and Warehousing a plus.
- Professional certifications such as CBAP, CCBA, PMI-PBA, or similar a plus.
- Experience documenting and modeling business processes using standard frameworks.
