About the Role We are seeking a motivated junior Business Analyst to join our team and contribute to diverse projects spanning strategy, technology, operations, and process improvement. This role offers the opportunity to develop broad analytical skills while supporting senior stakeholders in driving business outcomes across multiple workstreams.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Analysis & Problem Solving
Support senior analysts in evaluating business opportunities and market expansion initiatives
Assist in developing recommendations by conducting research, gathering data, and analyzing industry trends
Help identify risks, opportunities, and potential solutions through structured problem-solving approaches
Participate in client meetings and contribute to presentation development
Process Analysis & Problem Resolution
Identify and analyze business pain points through stakeholder interviews, process observation, and data analysis
Support root cause analysis initiatives using structured methodologies to uncover underlying issues
Assist in designing process improvements and solutions that address identified problems
Help develop workflows and procedures that streamline operations and eliminate inefficiencies
Support the implementation of new processes and monitor their effectiveness
Document current state processes and design future state solutions
Technology & Process Implementation
Support technology implementations by gathering and documenting business requirements
Assist in user acceptance testing (UAT) and quality assurance activities
Help translate business needs into functional specifications working alongside technical teams
Support process improvement initiatives and workflow optimization projects
Project Coordination & Delivery
Track project milestones, deliverables, and key performance indicators
Assist in managing project documentation and maintaining organized records
Help coordinate cross-functional teams and facilitate communication between stakeholders
Data Analysis & Reporting
Analyze business data to identify trends, patterns, and insights
Create reports and dashboards to support decision-making
Support the development of business cases and analytical frameworks
Assist in developing metrics and KPIs for business performance measurement
Business Analysis Tools & Techniques
Apply foundational BA techniques including stakeholder analysis, requirements elicitation, and gap analysis
Utilize process modeling tools (process flows, swimlane diagrams, value stream mapping)
Support data modeling and documentation using techniques such as entity relationship diagrams
Assist with business rules analysis and decision modeling
Apply problem-solving frameworks including root cause analysis (5 Whys, Fishbone diagrams)
Support risk analysis and impact assessment methodologies
Use prioritization techniques (MoSCoW, Kano model) for requirements and solution evaluation
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Engineering, or related analytical field
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work independently and take ownership of assigned tasks
Demonstrated project management capabilities through internships, coursework, or extracurricular activities
Understanding of fundamental business analysis concepts and techniques
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with data analysis tools (SQL, Tableau, Power BI)
Previous internship experience in consulting, strategy, or business analysis
Familiarity with project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall)
Knowledge of business process mapping tools (Visio, Lucidchart, or similar)
Understanding of process improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma basics)
Exposure to requirements management tools (JIRA, Azure DevOps, or similar)
Basic knowledge of systems analysis and design principles
