We are seeking a Business Analyst to join our Product Management team. This role is responsible for bridging the gap between customer needs, business objectives, and engineering execution. You will partner closely with Product Managers, Designers, and Engineers to translate high-level requirements and customer insights into detailed functional and technical specifications that guide successful product delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Product Managers to understand product vision, strategy, and customer needs.
- Translate business objectives, user stories, and customer feedback into clear, actionable technical requirements for engineering teams.
- Create and maintain requirement documentation, including process flows, acceptance criteria, data models, and system interaction diagrams.
- Facilitate workshops and requirement-gathering sessions with stakeholders to validate assumptions and clarify scope.
- Act as the subject matter expert during development cycles to ensure alignment between business goals and technical implementation.
- Partner with QA and engineering teams to ensure requirements are testable, measurable, and traceable throughout the development lifecycle.
- Support backlog refinement, prioritization, and sprint planning by clarifying requirements and dependencies.
- Monitor product performance post-launch, gathering feedback to continuously refine requirements and identify improvement opportunities.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 1 – 3 years of experience as a Business Analyst, Product Analyst, or similar role within a product-driven organization.
- Previous experience or education in programming, preferably with Python, Javascript or Go.
- Strong ability to break down abstract ideas into structured, detailed, and testable requirements.
- Proficiency with tools such as Jira, Confluence, Miro, or equivalent.
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and SDLC best practices.
- Excellent communication and facilitation skills, with the ability to work across technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
Preferred Skills
- Experience working directly with product management teams in a SaaS or technology environment.
- Knowledge of APIs, data integrations, and system architecture concepts.
- Comfort with SQL or data querying tools to validate requirements and test solutions.
- Understanding of Data Warehouse/Data Lakehouse technologies.
- Knowledge of Data Pipelines (Batch/Streaming processes)
- Understanding HR technology systems or practices.
