About the role
Progeny Asset Management (PAM) provides a Discretionary Investment Service for a combination of individuals, trusts, companies, and pension funds. We are currently entering an exciting phase of growth and succession, which has, in turn, led to an investment in the expansion of the Asset Management team. This role is internally known as 'Business Analyst' and will focus on maintaining and improving data to support the Investment team and the board.
This role is based in our Leeds office on a hybrid basis.
Key Responsibilities
- Apply tools and techniques for data analysis and data visualisation.
- Mine and analyse datasets, summarise and present them successfully to management.
- Prepare reports for internal and external audiences using business analytics reporting tools.
- Work with the group data team to monitor and audit PAMs' data quality.
- Identify, maintain and improve systems and processes.
- Liaise with internal and external clients to fully understand data content.
- Work with key third-party stakeholders e.g. ACD, consultants and platforms.
- Produce and track key performance indicators.
- Produce MI for the Senior Leadership Team, Executive Board and PAM Board.
- Managing stakeholder queries and working with the Chief Investment Officer and Head of Asset Management on commercial matters.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- Educated to degree standard (essential).
- Experience gained within Investment Management, Asset/Portfolio Management or Financial Services (desirable).
- Experience in accounting, financial modelling or audit.
- Excellent working knowledge of investments within an administration/operations team.
- Excellent understanding of the Microsoft Office suite, VBA or other coding languages.
- Knowledge of data analysis tools.
- The capacity to develop and document procedures and workflows.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with investment managers.
- Ability to apply logic and creativity to problem solving.
- Ability to work to deadlines and excellent time management.
- Exceptional focus and attention to detail.
