Position Overview:
The position is for a Business System Analyst to support the implementation of an Electronic Health Records (EHR) solution. It requires clinical healthcare experience and expertise in business systems analysis following industry best practices.
Duties:
Support the EHR program implementation.
Collaborate with clinical staff and IT leaders to translate clinician requirements into specifications for the EHR solution.
Define Health IT requirements for clinical disciplines in alignment with the strategic plan and unit mission.
Provide business analysis on clinical processes, workflows, and related documentation.
Contribute to various phases of project and program implementation, including planning, initiation, requirements definition, systems design, development, testing, implementation, maintenance, and enhancement.
Identify and resolve problems effectively in support of Health IT systems.
Support production services and systems administration for Health IT applications.
Implement downtime readiness procedures and internal reporting on system response time and service levels.
Ensure compliance with project management standards for application development, enhancement, and deployment.
Required Skills:
Minimum 4 years of experience in requirements elicitation, documentation, analysis, and tracking
Minimum 4 years of experience in systems/integration/UAT testing, including planning, execution, resolution, and reporting
Minimum 4 years of experience in process/workflow engineering and analysis, including workflow diagramming (e.g., Visio), use case documentation, and policy/procedure analysis
Minimum 3 years of experience with large system implementations involving complex solutions and integrations
Minimum 4 years of experience with Microsoft Office/365
Minimum 4 years of experience with Agile and Waterfall methodologies
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with at least 4 years of experience
Preferred Skills:
At least 3 years of experience leading workgroups
At least 3 years of experience in a health system or clinical setting, including familiarity with HIPAA regulations
At least 2 years of experience with project standards and requirements
At least 3 years of experience defining schedules, milestones, and metrics
