Job Description

As a Business Analyst at Xplor, you will be at the forefront of aligning our customer’s goals with Xplor’s technological capabilities.

Your role will involve working with our Product Team to understand our customer’s business processes, decipher their requirements, and collaborate with our Software Engineering teams to implement solutions that optimise customer operations and drive growth.

You'll act as a liaison between our commercial stakeholders, software engineers, and other technical teams to ensure a seamless integration of technology into business processes.


Responsibilities

Core Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and document detailed business requirements, including functional and non-functional specifications.

  • Analyse existing business processes, systems, and data flows and work with Product Managers to identify areas for improvement and optimisation.

  • Work with our product team to translate business needs into technical requirements, user stories, and system specifications for software engineering teams.

  • Evaluate and recommend technological solutions that align with business objectives and constraints.

  • Collaborate with engineers, QA testers, and product managers and designers to ensure successful delivery of solutions on time and within scope.


Role-Specific Responsibilities

  • Learn and deeply understand Xplor’s Office BMS and PES product offerings.

  • Create process models, flowcharts, and diagrams to visualize complex workflows and facilitate effective communication.

  • Assist the product team by documenting detailed specifications for a specified Product Scope.

  • Perform system testing and validation to ensure solutions meet business requirements and function as intended.

  • Assist in user acceptance testing (UAT) and facilitate communication between business users and technical teams.

  • Monitor and assess post-implementation performance and user feedback, feeding changes through to the Product Manager as necessary.


Qualifications

Qualifications & Experience

  • At least 2 years of previous experience in a technical or product role.

  • Proven experience as a Business Analyst, preferably in a technical or software-focused capacity.

  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to decipher complex processes and distill them into clear requirements.

  • Familiarity with various business analysis methodologies and tools.

  • Excellent communication skills to bridge the gap between technical and non-technical stakeholders.

  • Problem-solving skills and a proactive attitude towards identifying challenges.

  • Attention to detail and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.

  • Experience working in an Agile/SaaS environment

  • Previous experience working in an EdTech organisation would be advantageous
