Role Overview

As a Business Analyst (BA), you will work closely with clients, product owners, and development teams to define, refine, and shape requirements for digital platform projects (CMS solutions, Commerce, Martech & analytics)

You will play a critical role in bridging business needs and technical execution—ensuring that requirements are well-understood, prioritized, and delivered into development in a way that enables high-quality, scalable digital experiences.

This role is delivery-focused: translating requirements into actionable user stories, managing backlog grooming, and supporting development teams with clarity and alignment throughout the sprint cycle.

Core Capabilities

Requirements Analysis & Definition

  • Elicit, capture, and document business and functional requirements from stakeholders.
  • Break down requirements into user stories, acceptance criteria, and workflows.
  • Refine and groom backlog items to ensure they are ready for development.

Stakeholder Alignment

  • Act as the point of contact between business stakeholders, product owners, and development teams.
  • Facilitate workshops, interviews, and requirement walkthroughs to ensure shared understanding.
  • Manage trade-offs between scope, quality, and timelines.

Delivery & Support

  • Support sprint planning, backlog grooming, and sprint reviews.
  • Clarify requirements and provide day-to-day support for developers and testers.
  • Ensure delivery teams have all necessary details to progress efficiently.

Platform & Domain Knowledge

  • Apply knowledge of CMS platforms (AEM, Sitecore, Optimizely, etc.) to shape realistic requirements.
  • Understand content models, workflows, and publishing processes in CMS ecosystems.
  • Ensure requirements align with platform capabilities and constraints.

Continuous Improvement

  • Help refine BA practices, templates, and standards within the team.
  • Gather feedback on delivered features and contribute to iterative improvement.
  • Promote ways of working that streamline collaboration across disciplines.

Core Responsibilities

  • Translate high-level business objectives into clear, actionable requirements.
  • Write and refine user stories and acceptance criteria in tools such as Jira or Azure DevOps.
  • Groom and prioritize product backlogs in partnership with product owners.
  • Facilitate workshops to validate requirements and align stakeholders.
  • Support development teams with clarifications and requirement adjustments during delivery.
  • Collaborate with QA to ensure test cases align with acceptance criteria.
  • Contribute to sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives to ensure smooth delivery.

Qualifications
  • Proven experience as a Business Analyst in digital platform delivery (CMS, commerce, martech, analytics).
  • Strong skills in requirements gathering, user story writing, and backlog management.
  • Familiarity with agile delivery frameworks (Scrum, SAFe, Kanban).
  • Ability to communicate effectively with both business stakeholders and technical teams.
  • Experience with collaboration and tracking tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps, Miro).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; able to simplify complexity.
  • Detail-oriented and structured in approach.
  • Strong communicator who can bridge business and technical perspectives.
  • Proactive in identifying gaps, risks, and dependencies.
  • Collaborative mindset with a positive, solution-focused attitude.
  • Comfortable working in fast-paced, agile delivery environments.
