Responsibilities

  • Creates and maintains project schedules by developing project plans and specifications, estimating time requirements, establishing deadlines, monitoring milestone completion, tracking all phases of the project product/service lifecycle
  • Analyzes all business implications of the application of technology to the current business environment and serve as liaison between customers and development teams during the initial phase of projects
  • Gathers, documents, and, analyzes application requirements, conducts application analysis, and participates in functional application design to meet the needs of the business
  • Facilitate meetings with internal subject matter experts and external business partners/vendors
  • Creates detailed technical specifications, process models, data mappings and data models for development of new or modifications to existing products.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

Bachelor’s degrees in Business Administration, Information Systems or related field from an accredited college or university; supplemented by five (5) years of experience in the areas of development, implementation, systems integration and technical business analysis or an equivalent combination of education, certification, training, and/or experience.


CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS AND DESIGNATIONS:

International Institute of Business Analysis (IIBA) certification or Six Sigma certification preferred.


KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Ability to analyze and document complex business processes
  • Ability to make effective decisions under pressure
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Ability to explain technical concepts in non-technical terms to customers and staff
  • Solid mathematical aptitude and effective project management skills
  • Ability to lead discovery sessions through excellent communication and facilitation skills
  • Skill in Microsoft Office applications
  • Ability to take ownership and provide coordination for tasks related to implementation to test and production.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. Ability to exert light physical effort in sedentary to light work, which may involve some lifting, carrying, pushing and/or pulling of objects and materials of light weight (up to 20 pounds).
