Business Analyst

National CORE's Information Technology (IT) Department is a fast-paced, customer-focused organization dedicated to improving business operations through technology, innovation, and continuous improvement. We partner closely with operational departments to deliver solutions that improve efficiency, automate processes, enhance reporting, and support strategic business objectives.

As a Business Analyst I, you will serve as a key liaison between Information Technology and National CORE’s business operations, supporting and optimizing enterprise business applications with a primary focus on the Yardi platform. You will work closely with National CORE departments, and Executive Leadership to identify opportunities for improvement, streamline business processes, increase user adoption, and ensure data integrity across critical systems. You will help support, administer, configure, troubleshoot, and enhance Yardi and related business applications while contributing to organizational projects and strategic initiatives.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Enterprise Application and Yardi Administration. Serve as a functional administrator and business analyst for National CORE's Yardi environment and related enterprise applications, acting as a subject matter expert on Yardi modules, workflows, reporting, integrations, security, and data management. Evaluate business needs and recommend solutions that leverage Yardi's capabilities to improve efficiency, data integrity, and user experience. Support the ongoing administration, enhancement, upgrade, implementation, and optimization of Yardi and related business applications, ensuring solutions align with organizational objectives and industry best practices.

Business Analysis and Process Improvement. Work closely with the Senior Business Analyst and stakeholders to understand operational challenges, gather and document requirements, and identify technology solutions that support organizational goals. Analyze business processes, workflows, and system utilization to recommend improvements that increase efficiency, accuracy, compliance, and user satisfaction. Develop process maps, use cases, workflow documentation, and future-state recommendations while supporting the adoption of new technologies and business practices.

Project Participation and Coordination. Support cross-functional projects involving enterprise applications, process improvements, system integrations, data migrations, and software implementations. Assist with planning, requirements gathering, documentation, testing, deployment, and post-implementation support while maintaining schedules, issue logs, meeting notes, and other project artifacts. Coordinate activities with stakeholders, vendors, consultants, and technical teams, and communicate project progress, risks, issues, and dependencies to leadership as appropriate.

Day-to-day Operations. Provide daily administration and support for Yardi and other enterprise business applications while maintaining strong partnerships with business stakeholders. Resolve incidents and service requests through the Information Technology Service Management platform, coordinate escalations with internal teams and vendors, and help ensure service level commitments are met. Work with the Senior Business Analyst to evaluate operational needs, troubleshoot system issues, maintain application security and data integrity, and support enhancements, testing, reporting, and user adoption.

Day-to-day responsibilities include:

• Respond to incidents, service requests, and support issues submitted through the Information Technology Service Management platform.
• Troubleshoot application issues and coordinate resolution efforts with vendors and internal teams.
• Manage user account administration, onboarding, offboarding, security roles, and access controls.
• Escalate issues appropriately while ensuring service level agreements are met.
• Develop knowledge base articles, user guides, training materials, and process documentation.
• Deliver exceptional customer service while supporting day-to-day business operations.
• Create, maintain, and validate reports, dashboards, data extracts, and operational metrics within Yardi and related systems.
• Work with business teams to define reporting requirements and develop solutions that support business decision-making.
• Monitor and maintain data quality standards across business systems.
• Identify data inconsistencies and partner with stakeholders to implement corrective actions.
• Support organizational reporting initiatives through data analysis, validation, and process improvement efforts.
• Assist in planning and executing User Acceptance Testing activities for system enhancements, upgrades, integrations, and new functionality.
• Document test plans, test cases, and testing results.
• Coordinate testing efforts among business users, vendors, and IT teams.
• Validate system functionality and ensure solutions meet documented business requirements.
• Support system security administration and access review processes.
• Assist with maintaining application security standards and compliance requirements.
• Promote best practices related to data protection, confidentiality, user access management, and system governance.
• Ensure business applications are configured and maintained in accordance with organizational policies.
• Maintain application access, property security configurations, user roles, and data integrity in accordance with organizational policies.
• Collaborate with the Senior Business Analyst to document requirements, analyze processes, develop solution recommendations, coordinate testing, and maintain project documentation for system enhancements and enterprise initiatives.

EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION

Experience. A minimum of two years of experience in business analysis, application support, project coordination, or software implementation is preferred. Three to five years of experience administering, configuring, supporting, or implementing Yardi Voyager or related Yardi products is strongly preferred. Strong data analytical skills and understanding of MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, and Smartsheet. Experience with affordable housing, property management, accounting, compliance, reporting, integrations, workflow automation, and enterprise application implementations is highly desirable. ITIL or Information Technology Service Management experience or certification is preferred.

Traits and skillsets. Strong communication and customer service skills are an absolute requirement. An ability to work in a collaborative team environment is necessary. Proficient time management and organizational skills and the ability to comprehend and document technical issues with attention to detail are needed. The ability to manage, prioritize, and communicate status of multiple tasks simultaneously are skills that will be utilized daily.
