Position Summary:

Cleveland Brothers Equipment Company is seeking a Business Analyst (BA) within our IT organization that will be the subject matter expert and deliver technology enabled business outcomes through ongoing support, growth, and transformation of our system capabilities that provide clear & measurable business value across key functions of the organization (e.g. Sales, Service, Parts, Rental, Finance, HR, etc.).


This role serves as the bridge between business needs and technology delivery. The position manages multiple priorities, gathers requirements, performs process and system analysis, supports enhancements and releases, and conducts testing and troubleshooting to ensure systems evolve with organizational needs and delivers against business domain goals and objectives. The role partners closely with business stakeholders and technology teams, including development, architecture, cybersecurity, infrastructure, and data to improve system efficiency, data quality, user adoption, and overall value.

Primary Responsibilities:

1. Requirement Gathering

· Build functional requirements through workshops, interviews, etc. and document user stories and functional design documentation.

· Be the connection to the enabling teams (development, data, security, infrastructure, etc.) to ensure technical requirements and delivery meet or exceed expectations

2. Solution Design


· Analyze business requirements to design, recommend, and implement new solutions, new features, and system enhancements.

· Clearly define what the solution must do and how it must function to meet end user needs.

· Partner with the solution architecture team to ensure that proposed solution designs address the business outcomes expected.

· Partner with the data organization to ensure solution designs align with data governance/architecture standards.


3. Stakeholder Management


· Be the liaison between business domains and IT to ensure products being delivered are driving favorable business outcomes with measurable value.

· Ensure intake of project/product work is aligned to business goals and objectives and drive measurable value.



4. Training & User Adoption


· Develop and maintain updated training materials, process documentation, and quick reference guides in partnership with the learning & development team.

· Ensure ongoing training and onboarding sessions for new and existing users.

· Promote consistent system usage and data entry practices to maintain integrity and compliance.


5. Testing & Monitoring

· Partner cross-functionally to build and/or update self-service reports or dashboards using enterprise KPIs that monitor the execution of business processes using supported tools.

· Monitor system usage metrics, identify underutilized functionality, and drive adoption initiatives.

· Track and report on process improvement outcomes, efficiency gains, and return on investment of system enhancements.

Education & Experience:

· Bachelor’s degree in information systems, analytics, or STEM-related field.

· Minimum of 3 years of experience in business analysis, IT, business/systems analysis, or a related role.

· Experience with delivering technology and analytics projects and/or products

· Strong stakeholder relationship management abilities

· Experience with ERP systems analysis or development, preferably with Microsoft Dynamics 365

· Experience with Customer Relationship Management platforms; preferably Microsoft Customer Engagement and/or HubSpot is a plus

· Experience in the construction equipment, heavy machinery, or dealership model is preferred.

· Proven track record of executing process improvement and system optimization.

· Able to leverage trending technologies to identify opportunities, improve efficiencies and/or solve problems.

· Strong communication and collaboration with IT teams and business stakeholders.

· Organized, detail-oriented, and capable of balancing multiple priorities.

· Ability to interpret and effectively communicate data to identify trends, measure performance, and support decision-making.

· Ability to create functional documentation, test scripts, and process maps.

· Strong understanding of system testing and change control processes.
