About the Role 

The Business Analyst (BA) acts as a bridge between business stakeholders and technology teams by analyzing business needs, defining requirements, and ensuring solutions deliver measurable business value. The role involves understanding business processes, translating them into functional and non-functional requirements, and supporting the successful delivery of systems, products, or process improvements.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct business requirement gathering through interviews, observation, focus group discussions (FGD), and document analysis together with clients and stakeholders.
• Analyze current (as-is) business processes, identify pain points, gaps, risks, and improvement opportunities, and design proposed (to-be) business processes.
• Understand clients' business goals, strategy, and operational challenges to provide solution recommendations aligned with business needs and priorities.
• Translate business requirements into clear, structured, and well-documented functional artifacts, including:
  • Business Requirement Document (BRD)
  • Functional Specification Document (FSD)
  • User Stories
  • Use Cases
  • Acceptance Criteria
  • Business Process Flow
  • Wireframes or mockups
• Develop and maintain the product backlog, prioritize requirements together with stakeholders, and ensure all requirements have a clear and measurable scope.
• Facilitate brainstorming sessions and clarification sessions between clients, the development team, and stakeholders to reach a shared understanding of requirements and proposed solutions.
• Act as a liaison between the business team, technical team, and clients to ensure business needs are accurately translated into technology solutions.
• Provide consultation and recommendations on business processes, digitalization, automation, system integration, and industry best practices.
• Collaborate with the Project Manager, Product Owner, Solution Architect, UI/UX Designer, Developers, QA Engineers, and operational teams throughout the project lifecycle.
• Conduct impact analysis on new requirements, scope changes (change requests), timeline, cost, and project risk.
• Ensure designed solutions are aligned with business needs, system architecture, regulations, security standards, and technical constraints.
• Support the solution design process by providing input on business flows, system integration, data models, and non-functional requirements.
• Manage and monitor issues, risks, assumptions, dependencies, and follow-up actions related to business requirements and solution implementation.
• Ensure all project documentation is consistently updated, well-maintained, and traceable from business requirements through to solution implementation.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Business, Computer Science, or a related field
• Proven experience as a Business Analyst or similar role
• Strong understanding of SDLC, Agile/Scrum, or Waterfall methodologies
• Ability to create clear documentation (BRD, user stories, wireframes, process diagrams)
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
• Experience working with cross-functional technical and business teams

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in specific industries (e.g., fintech, banking, insurance, e-commerce)'
• Familiarity with APIs, databases, and system integrations
• Experience with tools such as Jira, Confluence, SQL, BPMN, or UML
• Experience in data analysis, reporting, or product analytics platforms
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
