The US Payroll organization is seeking a Business Analyst (P5) to drive strategic system enhancements, lead major payroll transformation initiatives, oversee high‑impact regulatory and process-driven changes, and guide cross-functional efforts that advance payroll accuracy, compliance, and operational excellence.

This role serves as a strategic leader, program owner, and subject matter authority, partnering closely with US Payroll leadership, HR, Finance, Timekeeping, and enterprise technology groups to align payroll capabilities with organizational priorities. The Business Analyst provides direction to project teams, elevates decision-making, and ensures end‑to‑end delivery of critical payroll solutions at scale.

What You Will Do

Strategic Project & Program Leadership

  • Lead large-scale US Payroll initiatives with enterprise-wide impact.

  • Oversee cross-functional program teams, ensuring alignment, execution discipline, and effective risk management.

  • Drive prioritization, resourcing, and governance for key payroll programs.

  • Present program outcomes, risks, and strategic recommendations to senior leadership and executive stakeholders.

Systems & Business Analysis Leadership

  • Oversee the development of business requirements, functional designs, and solution architectures for system enhancements, regulatory updates, process optimization, and technology upgrades.

  • Provide expert analysis of payroll systems and workflows; drive decisions that improve accuracy, compliance, and operational efficiency.

  • Ensure solution clarity across functional and technical teams, reducing rework and increasing implementation quality.

  • Champion structured change control, system integrity, and robust documentation practices.

Stakeholder Partnership & Executive Communication

  • Build strong partnerships with US Payroll Operations, HR, Finance, Timekeeping, and technology leaders.

  • Facilitate alignment across multiple stakeholder groups and support executive‑level decision-making.

  • Translate complex system concepts into clear, actionable insights for senior, non‑technical audiences.

Continuous Improvement & Strategic Optimization

  • Identify and drive initiatives to streamline end‑to‑end US Payroll processes, improve system performance, and enable future scalability.

  • Support transformation efforts that accelerate digital modernization across payroll functions.

  • Foster an innovation‑focused culture within payroll programs and project teams.

Qualifications You Must Have

  • A Bachelor’s degree in IT, Accounting, Finance, or related field and 10+ years relevant experience across Payroll, Timekeeping, HR, or Finance OR Advanced degree and 8+ years relevant experience.

  • Experience with ADP EV5/Autopay.

Qualifications We Prefer

  • Demonstrated ability to design and lead complex business process improvements.

  • Executive‑level communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.

  • Strong leadership abilities with a track record of driving change at scale.

  • Experience with ADP GlobalView, Workday payroll, or other enterprise payroll platforms.

  • Experience leading global or enterprise‑wide project initiatives.

  • PMP or equivalent project/program management certification.

  • Significant experience leading large, structured, multi-phase projects and programs.

  • Proven ability to manage or guide system enhancements and payroll technology initiatives.

Remote: This position is currently designated as remote. However, the successful candidate will be required to work from one of the 50 U.S. states (excluding U.S. Territories). Employees who are working in Remote roles will work primarily offsite (from home).  An employee may be expected to travel to the site location as needed. 

As part of our commitment to maintaining a secure hiring process, candidates may be asked to attend select steps of the interview process in-person at one of our office locations, regardless of whether the role is designated as on-site, hybrid or remote.

The salary range for this role is 132,400 USD - 251,600 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Hired applicants may be eligible for benefits, including but not limited to, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, flexible work schedules, employee assistance program, Employee Scholar Program, parental leave, paid time off, and holidays. Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement.

Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position and whether or not it is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.

This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
