Business Analyst - Treasury

Verition Fund Management LLC (“Verition”) is a multi-strategy, multi-manager hedge fund founded in 2008. Verition focuses on global investment strategies including Global Credit, Global Convertible, Volatility & Capital Structure Arbitrage, Event-Driven Investing, Equity Long/Short & Capital Markets Trading, and Global Quantitative Trading.

Seeking a motivated, data-oriented Business Analyst with a desire to work in a fast paced, collaborative environment. In this role, you will work closely with business and technology to transform our treasury department. You will be focusing on requirements documentation, project delivery and managing the software development lifecycle for post-trade support function.

Responsibilities:

• Serve as business and data analyst across treasury, operations and technology
• Ownership of technical implementation, testing and production roll-out
• The documentation and mapping out of technical solutions
• Identify and communicate technical constraints, bugs, delays to business
• Assist business side management with technology resource allocation and prioritization
• Experience with both in-house built and vendor supplied solutions

Qualifications:

• 3-5 years of experience in technical treasury focused business analysis at a buy side firm
• Experience working across different asset classes, products and markets
• Ability to scope out functional and technical requirements based on treasury user input
• Comfortable with database query and working with large data set (Oracle SQL a plus)
• Understanding of financial products
• Experience working with complex business system integration and implementation
• Hands-on experience across the SDLC
• Ability to communicate detailed levels to development teams and end-users
• Minimum level of technical proficiency – Python, R, BASH, etc
• Experience in project management software (JIRA, Monday) as well as version control (Git, etc)
