Daikin Applied is seeking a talented Business Analyst – Software. The Business Analyst - Software will work in a skilled software team developing custom software applications for the number one HVAC company in the world. Successful candidates will work with a diverse group including Marketing, Engineering, Digital and end users to develop custom built, easy to use and intuitive selection and simulation applications. Location: Plymouth, MN – Hybrid
What you will do:
- Translate business requirements into functional requirements and technical specifications for development of new computer software applications or for enhancements to existing systems
- Collect and analyze possible project engagements, documenting project scope (objectives, deliverables, critical success factors, assumptions, global and regional considerations, and resource requirements), prioritization, cost/benefit, potential risks, and feasibility
- Translate and implement Engineering product structure and configuration rules into the software using basic nested if-then logic
- Lead the development and review (from content to final draft) of user guides, training classes, and other end user documentation for applications and processes

Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university
- 2+ years of related experience
- MS Excel, Outlook & Word skills
- Macro VBA or other programming language skills
- Work visa sponsorship is not available for this position
Preferred Qualifications:
- HVAC background with knowledge of equipment and components and their function within a system and a building is desired
- Power BI, MS Project, Azure DevOps skills

The typical annual base salary for this position ranges from $73,300 - $117,200 in Minnesota. The range displayed represents the pay range for all positions in the job grade which this position falls. Individual base pay will depend on a wide range of factors including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
