About the role:

The Business Analyst Senior Manager will be instrumental in driving XO Health’s overall business architecture its timely delivery. As a part of the PMO team, this person will play a lead role in working directly with the senior business leads to analyze and document business requirements, refining scope in the development stories and documenting the associated test requirements to ensure XO’s success. As the team grows, this senior manager will take on the responsibility of managing other business analysts, defining process and documentation standards and ensuring the efficiency and effectiveness of the team. The Business Analyst Senior Manager will help to implement strategic initiatives and will assist in setting the tone for day-to-day inner workings of internal teams and clients, and ultimately ensures a positive, productive atmosphere.

In this role, you will:

  • Functional Leadership – Manage and mentor a small team of business analysts, create process and standards, and track and maintain business requirements and associated documentation effectively and efficiently. Represent the Business Analyst function in cross-functional collaboration with operational, PMO and technical leadership.
  • Requirements Gathering – Elicit, analyze, and validate the business needs across business units with multiple subject matter experts involved. Challenge the subject matter experts to ensure the right decisions are made. Manage and avoid scope creep by elegantly raising up to lead SME and escalating to project manager(s), manager and/or key stakeholders, if needed.
  • Workflow Design – Understand workflow design and documentation. Collaborate with business owners, partners, architects, UI designers to develop automation and workflows that will put the right task in the right hands at the right time. 
  • Collaboration – Be responsible for the collaboration with the project manager, stakeholders, subject matter experts and the technology team to promote an environment of collaboration and willingness to listen fostering a collaborative working environment. Collaborate with internal and external organization members. 
  • Meeting Coordination – Assist project manager with coordination of internal resources for flawless project execution. Assist with coordinating meetings for internal stakeholders, subject matter experts, technical team resources, if applicable. Ensure appointed resources are available to participate in all project meetings. 
  • Project Documentation – Assist with the creation of the project plan to track a project’s progress. Be responsible for writing clear and well-structured business requirement stories.
  • Testing – Create written acceptance criteria and testing scenarios that follow Agile best practices. Assist business partners with User Acceptance scenarios and testing to mitigate risk. Continually tests business processes to recommend improvements.
  • Trouble Shooting – Conduct system audits using analytics to maximize effectiveness and efficiency. Respond to questions and issues quickly to avoid potential operational and financial mishaps.  Identify substandard system processes through evaluation of real time data or other more hands-on approaches.

We’re Looking for People Who Have:

  • Management and mentoring experience of small team of business analysts and representing the analyst function within cross-functional forums.
  • Experience in the development of standard processes and templates to write requirements accurately and concisely. 
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience preferred.
  • Recent experience in healthcare and/or life sciences as a Business Analyst for large, complex projects.
  • Experience creating business requirements, requiring the delivery of enabling technology, including digital experience, multi-channel engagement tactics and satisfaction.  
  • 10+ years’ experience as a business analyst or subject matter expert. 
  • Experience handling multiple projects at one time with multiple external partner involvement. 
  • Experience working in an Agile environment. Understands the Agile project lifecycle.  
  • Demonstrates experience in capturing and documenting business workflow, test scenarios, and ongoing process improvement opportunities.  
  • Excellent analytical and modeling skills. 
  • Ability to problem solve while demonstrating influencing skills. 
  • Ability to reduce manual intervention by offering more automated suggestions/ideas. 
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships to gain trust and respect. 
  • Build strong, constructive relationships to foster collaboration and cross-functional thinking. 
  • Excellent interpersonal, written and communication skills. 
  • Experience with Monday.com, preferred. 
  • Experience with JIRA and Confluence.  

Full compensation packages are based on candidate experience and relevant certifications.
