Position Description

We are seeking a versatile technology delivery professional to join our Wealth Management team, focusing on the securities, brokerage, and investment products domain. Depending on experience and capability, this role may be appointed as a Project Manager or Senior Business Analyst.

You will act as the bridge between business stakeholders and the IT department, ensuring successful design, implementation, and adoption of technology solutions. The role is highly handson — regardless of seniority, you will be expected to have strong Java/programming skills and to participate directly in coding and technical solutioning when required. This position offers exposure to strategic projects, regional stakeholders, and complex product environments.

Key Areas of Responsibilities

Core responsibilities

  • Work closely with business stakeholders to gather, analyse, and document requirements for securities, brokerage, and wealth management processes.

  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and propose system enhancements.

  • Conduct gap analysis between current and target state processes and solutions.

  • Prepare functional specifications, user stories, and use cases aligned with business objectives.

  • Collaborate with developers, solution architects, and testers to ensure solutions meet requirements.

  • Contribute to application development using Java and related frameworks when needed, including coding, unit testing, and troubleshooting.

  • Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT), including test case preparation, defect tracking, and resolution.

  • Develop user guides, training materials, and process documentation.

Additional responsibilities for PM

  • Lead end‑to‑end delivery of projects from initiation to rollout, ensuring alignment to business strategy and governance frameworks.

  • Manage project scope, timelines, budgets, and resource planning.

  • Conduct regular status reporting and risk/issue escalation to senior stakeholders.

  • Manage vendor relationships and contractual deliverables.

  • Facilitate executive‑level stakeholder engagement and decision‑making.

  • Oversee multiple concurrent initiatives in a portfolio.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science or related discipline(s). Master’s degree or relevant certification is a plus.

  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in technology delivery within securities, banking, brokerage, or wealth management sectors. (Candidates with more experience will be considered for PM role.)

  • Development skills in Java and working with one of more Java frameworks

  • Strong understanding of securities trading, brokerage operations, fund, bond, structured products and financial regulations.

  • Proficiency in requirements gathering techniques, process mapping, and data analysis.

  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

  • Team player with the ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.

  • Good command of written and spoken English

  • Ability to communicate in Mandarin is preferred in order to manage stakeholders in Greater China.
