Seize the opportunity to work with the Forecast Consolidation Solutions Product team, supporting the vision and execution of a multi-year end-to-end transformation aiming to centralize monthly financial reporting for all Planning & Analysis teams across the Firm. This role is instrumental in delivering new and improved operating models, enhanced data insights, system capabilities, and modernization of the Forecast Consolidation infrastructure.
As a Business Analyst - Planning & Analysis Senior Associate within our dynamic team, you will play a pivotal role in collaborating with Firmwide Planning & Analysis, Capital, Controller, and other teams across the firm. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure an exceptional user experience and operational readiness during the transition of their processes to a new platform and operational model. Our platform, which you will be working with, is utilized to ingest, catalog, model, enrich, calculate, assess accuracy, and report against the firm's financial forecasts and actuals. You will be part of a broader team that undertakes a wide range of project-based activities, including business process design, application design, data analytics, solutions implementation, and capability testing. Utilizing the agile framework, you will contribute to developing the product vision and defining objectives & key results for execution against various initiatives.
Job responsibilities

  • Partner with various stakeholder groups to drive changes to current business processes
  • Analyzing, evaluating and challenging both the current and future state business processes and application architecture to identify areas of opportunity for improvement / automation around the Forecast Consolidation processes
  • Developing the future state vision for the product, tracking against initiatives and leveraging objectives & key results to produce weekly/monthly/quarterly and ad-hoc reporting to senior leaders through business reviews
  • Leveraging various technologies and data analytics skills to streamline the collection, modeling, calculation, accuracy assessment and reporting for financial data sets (budget, outlook etc.)
  • Working with technology to modernize the supporting infrastructure and deliver flexible self-service tools to end users
  • Executing within a fast-paced environment and leveraging the Agile framework


Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Management, or a related field.
  • 4+ years of work experience in business transformation, process improvement, or related roles; within the financial services industry
  • Experience in process improvement methodologies and leading organizational transformation practices
  • Proficiency with data gathering, modeling and manipulation, analytics and problem-solving skills with the ability present conclusions concisely
  • Familiar with financial concepts and various financial calculations leveraged to deliver complete / accurate financial results and business insights
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex issues clearly
  • Highly motivated with a proven track record for executing on large to small programs, often under pressure given short lead times or with little information / direction
  • Inquisitive, enthusiastic and diligent team player with the ability to challenge, while at the same time remaining a respected as a trusted partner for the Planning & Analysis teams
  • Highly motivated self-starter with excellent time management/prioritization skills


Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Professional experience in Lean Management / Kaizen / Lean Six Sigma / Continuous Improvement / Business Excellence / Operational Excellence / Quality Management / Business Process Mapping, etc.
  • Data analytics and data modeling using Python, SQL and / or R
  • Familiarity with Amazon Web Services features, such as Databricks and Lakehouse architecture
  • Experience with BI tools such as Tableau and Alteryx
  • Agile Principles and tools such as Confluence/JIRA
  • Experience with other forecast aggregation tools such as Anaplan and Essbase
