Full Stack Developer - Node.js & React

Your Role:
We're looking for a Full Stack Developer with 3-5 years of experience to support, enhance, and maintain business-critical web applications used across Sangoma's global communications platform. You'll work across both the frontend and backend, developing new features, resolving production issues, improving application performance, and helping ensure our software remains reliable, scalable, and easy to maintain.
Working as part of a collaborative Agile team, you'll partner with Product, QA, and fellow developers to deliver quality software while continuously improving the stability and user experience of our applications.
What You'll Do:
- Develop, enhance, and maintain web applications using Node.js and React.
- Design, build, and support REST APIs and backend services.
- Write and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, and database objects in MySQL.
- Develop and maintain asynchronous processing using BullMQ and Redis.
- Support real-time application features using WebSockets.
- Troubleshoot production issues, identify root causes, and implement sustainable solutions.
- Improve application performance, reliability, and maintainability through ongoing enhancements and code improvements.
- Deploy and support applications running in Docker and Kubernetes environments.
- Participate in code reviews, testing, and Agile ceremonies to ensure high-quality software delivery.
- Collaborate closely with Product, QA, and Engineering to deliver enhancements and resolve customer-impacting issues.
Requirements
Your Role:
- 3–5 years of hands-on experience in full-stack development.
- Strong experience with Node.js, React, JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML, and CSS.
- Experience building and consuming REST APIs.
- Good understanding of MySQL, database design, stored procedures, and query optimization.
- Experience with Redis and BullMQ for caching and background job processing.
- Experience building real-time applications using WebSockets.
- Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes.
- Experience with Git and Agile development practices.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
Preferred
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines.
- Exposure to microservices architecture and message queues (Kafka/RabbitMQ).

Skills Required
- 3+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, Systems Analyst, or related role
- Strong requirements elicitation, documentation, and stakeholder management skills
- Experience writing user stories, acceptance criteria, and process documentation
- Familiarity with Agile delivery methodologies
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Experience working with Jira, Confluence, or similar collaboration tools
- Experience within telecommunications, networking (e.g., UCaaS, CCaaS, SD-WAN)
- Understanding of network operations concepts (monitoring, incident management, service assurance, topology, inventory, fault management)
- Technical aptitude with APIs, integrations, databases, cloud platforms, or software delivery processes
