Job Description

ABOUT THIS POSITION

As Business Analyst Manager, you will lead and shape the Business function across our organization. You will collaborate directly with senior leadership to drive digital transformation, champion process optimization, and guide our clients through complex technology initiatives. You will manage and mentor a global team of Business Analysts, cultivate client relationships, and contribute to our commercial success by ensuring smooth project delivery and sound financial management.

This is a hands-on leadership role for an intrapreneur — someone who can think strategically, communicate with clarity, and dive deep into technical details when needed. You will work closely with clients and internal teams to translate business needs into impactful digital solutions, driving results for both Portonics and our clients around the world.

Strategic Responsibilities:

  • Provide improvement recommendations to the Board and top management to support strategic goals, focusing on process optimization and digitalization.

  • Act as the key advisor on process improvements and digital initiatives; establish best practice communities and develop training materials.

  • Own project commercials, including client relationships and receivables management.

  • Drive and support long-term strategy and growth for the Business department.

  • Manage and mentor a team of Business Analysts; lead client relationship management.

  • Oversee multiple projects across the full project lifecycle, from strategy to implementation, with a focus on process improvement and digitalization.

  • Contribute to digital transformation initiatives and support change management efforts.

  • Identify, prioritize, and drive improvement projects in alignment with key stakeholders.

  • Facilitate management self-assessments and coach teams on executing improvement initiatives.

  • Support the Leadership team in identifying and evaluating digital use cases.
     

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • Guide business analysts to prepare proposals and supporting documents for tender/bid submissions.

  • Organize and architect content/features/functionality for new and existing websites and applications.

  • Review the effort estimation and user stories for the projects.

  • Work closely with key stakeholders to communicate design/product and project strategy.

  • Determine the best testing approach and partner with the QA team to support the testing of project functionality to meet evolving client requirements.

  • We expect the role to take initiative in driving the business by acquiring new projects.

  • Supervise the business team, including the UI/UX team, to achieve their performance goals.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field, with 8+ years industry experience, including working with a software engineering team or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.

Must have:

  • Proven working experience as a project administrator in the information technology sector.

  • Strong commercial acumen with experience handling client contracts, commercials, and receivables.

  • Solid technical background, with understanding or hands-on experience in software development and web technologies.

  • Should have proven project management experience, and experience with Project Management Software such as Trello, JIRA, or similar.

  • Strong understanding of SCRUM and KANBAN methodologies;

  • Applicants should have excellent communication skills, strong problem-solving skills, creative thinking skills, and be passionate about project management & UI/UX.

  • Have a strong understanding of wireframing/user stories to actively participate in designing the user experience of the projects.

Good to have:

  • Experience working in technology consulting or client-facing delivery roles.

  • Strong understanding of interactive web technologies and modern software architectures.

  • Familiarity with QA processes, testing strategies, and automation frameworks.

  • Experience managing or coordinating with regulatory bodies and understanding compliance requirements.

  • Ability to drive digital transformation initiatives and manage organizational change.

  • Prior experience in building and scaling Business Analysis practices or digital transformation teams.

  • Communication skills are very important for this role; our engineers work across every team in the organization. Candidates need to be able to communicate not only with other developers but also with management, non-tech team members & external parties.
