Ruan is seeking a Business Analyst to solicit and document product and enhancement requirements from stakeholders within the context of an agile team. Job responsibilities include breaking down large project requests into managed pieces that can be easily worked by the team. Support production users for troubleshooting and resolution of issues. Escalates issues to application vendors and works with the vendor to identify and implement solutions. Work with team in regards to software testing and implementation. The successful candidate will have experience and full working knowledge of agile methodologies including scrum and kanban.

Responsibilities:
The Business Analyst will follow the Ruan relevant agile methodology for the delivery of the functionality with the following responsibilities:
  • Analyze and evaluate existing or proposed business systems and processes to identify and implement improvements and opportunities to meet business unit objectives in smaller, less complex processes.
  • Recommend system changes, documents business rules as well as conduct "as-is" and "to-be" process flowchart processes.
  • Create user stories/user cases, process & Data flows and scenarios in order to clearly communicate a set of functional requirements to the team.
  • Configure and maintain transportation software and integrated software to support end users. Implement proposed system changes.
  • Remain flexible and navigate business changes and priorities.
  • Demonstrate adaptability to untraditional processes and maintain a positive, proactive team environment.
  • Test software and software integration changes and upgrades alongside team.
  • Helps evolve the backlog by reviewing and inspecting.
Preferred Qualifications
Job Requirements/Minimum Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's degree required, or an equivalent amount of education and related experience may be considered.
Course of study considered: Business, Computer Science, MIS, or BCIS. May have Master's degree but not required.
Experience: Must have 3+ years of experience as a business analyst in an Agile software development environment
  • Individual must demonstrate strong analytical and problem solving abilities.
  • Must have a technical background and ability to communicate with software architects and developers.
  • Must have strong communication, written and oral, skills. Must have the ability to communicate ideas to others.
  • Must be able to communicate analytical and process information to non-analytical staff. Job requires documentation of business and data requirements with specific attention to detail.
  • The ability to create user stories/user cases is preferred. Must have the ability to multi-task under time constraints and set priorities and accomplish duties with little direct supervision.
  • Demonstrate a deep understanding in the areas of application development, database, infrastructure, internet, extranet and client server architectures.
  • Possesses excellent leadership and organizational skills. Experience with working on projects with external parties required.
  • Must be proficient in workflow tools such as TFS, WorkFront or Jira. Must have excellent Microsoft Office skills in Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
  • Business analyst or product owner experience required.
