About The Role

We are looking for an experienced Business Analyst with a thorough understanding of Investment Operations and the ability to interrogate and understand data to join our expanding Investment Management Change Team.

This is a hands-on role and the ideal candidate will have a technical background that they are able to apply to solving business problems. They are expected to provide the analysis that will define the scope, requirements and success criteria for a variety of initiatives, primarily to support the Investment Operations function within AIML.

MS AIML is managing a large programme of change work. Candidates with the right skillset will be able to get involved in other strategic projects such as a business transformation, performance and automation across support teams.

MS Amlin is part of a global top-10 insurance group, MS&AD. We’re made up of four distinct businesses covering Global Reinsurance, Lloyds Franchise, Local Specialty Insurer, and Business Services.

This role sits within MS AIML, the regulated investment management company of the MS Amlin brand (MSA). MSA is wholly owned by the MS&AD Group.  The investment clients of MS AIML include MSA companies and others in the wider MS&AD group. 

What You’ll Spend Your Time Doing

  • Work with the Investment Operations, DevOps and Client Change teams to manage client changes within our framework
  • Document the current state, proposed outcome and design target operating models that support new platforms and processes
  • Define detailed business and systems requirements in conjunction with users and developers, using Agile tools and techniques where appropriate
  • Define and design simple, automated and resilient solutions where possible
  • Assess implementation options, influencing stakeholders to select most appropriate solution
  • Planning, preparation, participation in and oversight of testing, transition and implementation

What We Need From You        

            

  • Experience of investment and or investment operations
  • Good experience across fixed income, derivatives, equites and ETFs
  • Strong experience of communicating between investment management operations and technology teams
  • Good Excel knowledge
  • Ability to query SQL server using SQL queries in SSMS
  • Strong stakeholder management skills

  • Competitive Base Salary
  • Performance Related Discretionary Bonus
  • Holiday: 28 days core annual leave, and you can buy up to 5 days
  • Pension: A minimum 2% employee contribution plus 7% MS Amlin contribution (9%) up to a maximum of 5% employee contribution plus 13% MS Amlin contribution (18%)
