As a Business Analyst Intern at StandardAero, you will gain hands-on industry experience, learn from experts, and collaborate with our teams that raise the standard of excellence.
What you'll do:
Students may be involved in one or many of the following:
- Assist in gathering, analyzing, and interpreting data to support business decisions. Develop reports and dashboards using tools like Excel, SQL, and Power BI to provide actionable insights.
- Work with senior analysts to identify and recommend process improvements within various business units. Help document current processes and recommend optimizations based on findings.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand project requirements and objectives. Assist in creating documentation to capture business needs and requirements.
- Support the testing and validation of solutions. Help to identify and document issues, and work with the team to ensure solutions meet business requirements and quality standards.
- Assist in maintaining project documentation, including project plans, timelines, and status reports. Help organize and track project progress and deliverables.
- Support data integrity by performing data cleanup and maintenance tasks as needed. Help ensure data accuracy and consistency across systems.
Perform ad hoc analysis on various projects as assigned by supervisors. Analyze data to answer specific business questions or provide insights on emerging trends.
Basic Qualifications:
- 6 months or more completed coursework in areas such as Business Analysis, Data Analytics, Statistics, Database Management, or Information Systems.
- Actively pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Statistics, Data Analytics, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
Desired Skills
- Exposure to data analysis techniques and familiarity with coursework in quantitative methods, data interpretation, or statistical analysis.
- Introductory knowledge of data tools (e.g., Excel, SQL, Power BI, or Domo) through coursework or class projects.
- Experience with critical thinking and problem-solving as part of coursework, particularly in identifying trends or deriving insights from data.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, demonstrated through presentations, reports, or class projects.
- Strong motivation to develop skills in data analytics and business analysis, and a willingness to seek feedback and grow professionally.
Ability to work effectively in group settings, as demonstrated through team projects or class assignments.
