Job Summary:
The Business Analyst III plays a critical role in bridging the gap between business needs and technology solutions within the organization. This position involves participating on complex projects, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and providing insights to drive business improvements. The ideal candidate is a seasoned professional with strong analytical skills, a proven track record of successful requirements delivery, and the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead collaboration efforts with stakeholders to identify business needs, gather requirements, and document actionable insights that align with organizational goals.
- Review project artifacts, including Business Cases and contracts, to ensure alignment with business objectives and requirements.
- Facilitate requirements elicitation sessions and participate in Feature refinement sessions to gather and document comprehensive requirements.
- Create, maintain, and align Features in ADO, ensuring proper tracking and organization through Parent/Child relationships and related links.
- Develop supporting diagrams, such as process flows and context diagrams, and assist the Business Owner with current or future state process flows.
- Ensure smooth transition and alignment with the Product Owner for features that are refinement ready.
- Utilize advanced modeling techniques to facilitate the elicitation and gathering of requirements for complex projects, ensuring thorough documentation and traceability.
- Recommend process improvement solutions that increase efficiency, reduce costs, and improve service delivery.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior analysts, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and knowledge sharing within the team.
- Work closely with IT, product owners, business stakeholders, and other departments to ensure clear alignment and understanding of requirements, facilitating communication and collaboration across teams.
- Take action on insights from dashboard and metric analysis to correct data and optimize business processes.
- Provide input on project status reports related to requirements and change control to the Program/Project Manager.
- Partner with Program/Project Manager to deliver Epics and Features to meet milestone dates.
- Partner with BA IV, Product Owner, BA Manager, and/or Program/Project Manager in resolving escalated items and escalate issues, risks, or blocked features.
- Prepare and present comprehensive reports, including findings, recommendations, and progress updates, to senior leadership and stakeholders as requested.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent years of relevant experience is required
- Master’s degree is preferred
- A minimum of five (5) years of experience in requirements management is required
- Healthcare delivery and/or payer industry experience is preferred
Competencies, Knowledge and Skills:
- Proficient in Microsoft Office tools, including Outlook, Excel, Word, Visio
- Experience working with Azure DevOps, Service Now, JIRA, Modern Requirements, or equivalent suite of business requirements management tools and software development processes, including hybrid/agile, is preferred
- Demonstrates applicable practical and experiential knowledge
- Demonstrates fundamental awareness and understanding of basic business analysis skills and knowledge
- Knowledge of IT development cycle and Agile Framework
- Thorough understanding of business analysis principles, process, and applications/elicitation tools used for managing requirements
- Thorough understanding of a project lifecycle, including processes, techniques and tools
- Strong interpersonal and proven ability to establish effective working relationships with stakeholders at all levels
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and within a team environment
- Effective listening and critical thinking skills
- Effective problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Time management skills, ability to develop, prioritize and accomplish goals with a sense of urgency
- Ability to multi-task and remain flexible during organizational and/or business changes
- Customer service oriented
- Familiarity of the healthcare payer industry and knowledge of Medicaid, Medicare, and Marketplace is preferred
- Familiarity of the healthcare payer industry and knowledge of Mergers and Acquisitions is preferred
Licensure and Certification:
- IIBA, Six Sigma, ITIL, and/or Agile, Lean, SAFe Certifications preferred
Compensation Range:
$81,400.00 - $130,200.00CareSource takes into consideration a combination of a candidate’s education, training, and experience as well as the position’s scope and complexity, the discretion and latitude required for the role, and other external and internal data when establishing a salary level. In addition to base compensation, you may qualify for a bonus tied to company and individual performance.
