We are looking for a Business Analyst – Data to join the team and help shape how the organisation changes through data. This role is platform‑focused, with a strong emphasis on data flows, system integration and event‑driven architectures, supporting both continuous platform evolution and key delivery initiatives.
You will work alongside engineers and architects to define how data is structured, integrated and consumed across the enterprise, ensuring solutions are scalable, reusable and aligned to current and future needs.
About the role:
Engage stakeholders to understand business problems, data integration requirements, platform needs and project-based initiatives
Define and document end‑to‑end data flows across systems, including upstream sources, transformations and downstream consumers
Own the definition of data integration requirements across multiple systems, ensuring clarity on data ownership, transformation and consumption
Work closely with engineers and architects to shape integration patterns, pipelines and streaming solutions
Produce high-quality artefacts including epics, features, user stories and acceptance criteria
Analyse current-state processes, system interactions and data flows, and design future-state solutions
Conduct impact assessments across integrated systems, data pipelines and downstream consumers
Support dependency management across interconnected platforms and services
Liaise with vendors and delivery teams to resolve integration, data quality and solution design issues
Contribute to the evolution of event-driven and streaming data capabilities
What you will bring:
Must have
3+ years’ experience in Business Analysis or similar
Experience working across the full SDLC
Proven experience working on data integration initiatives, including defining data flows and system interactions across multiple platforms
Strong hands-on experience analysing and documenting end‑to‑end data flows, system integrations and dependencies in complex environments
Experience working with data platforms or data products
Exposure to cloud-based data platforms (AWS preferred)
Strong understanding of Business Intelligence and analytics concepts
Technical literacy, including SQL and working with structured data
Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
Experience with BPMN / UML
Ability to operate at both platform and initiative level
Adaptability, emotional intelligence and growth mindset
Nice to have
Experience with ETL processes and data pipelines (batch processing)
Experience with real-time and event-driven architectures, ideally in environments using: Apache Kafka / Confluent Kafka, Confluent Cloud and/or AWS EKS
Distributed streaming platforms supporting low-latency, high-volume throughput
Experience with API or middleware integrations
Familiarity with Data Mesh concepts
Experience using JIRA and Confluence
Experience with modelling tools (Visio, Lucid, Enterprise Architect)
Experience working in Agile or product-led environments
Experience in platform teams with some project delivery
Financial services experience (beneficial)
