This role sits within the fast-growing Data Operations team in our Solutions & Implementation (S&I) division—a group at the center of how Synapse modernizes care delivery, streamlines operations, and expands access to high-quality services through technology and strategic partnerships.
This position blends business analysis, technical execution, and stakeholder partnership. The Business Analyst will transform complex operational data into actionable insights, develop scalable reporting solutions, and support key initiatives across referrals, fulfillment, implementations, and vendor performance. This role is ideal for a curious, impact-driven analyst who enjoys working close to the business and thrives in fast-moving environments where data maturity is evolving.
What You Will Do:
- Analyze operational and business performance trends to deliver clear, actionable insights that inform strategic and day-to-day decisions across the S&I division.
- Partner closely with stakeholders across Solutions & Implementation, Operations, Growth, Product, and Data to gather requirements, define KPIs, and translate business needs into scalable BI solutions.
- Design, develop, and maintain dashboards and reporting frameworks that monitor data ingestion health, order processing performance, implementation readiness, and operational SLAs.
- Support implementation and go-live analytics by validating data integrity, ensuring clean tie-outs across systems, and identifying root causes of data issues that impact launch success.
- Write, test, and deploy scripts and macros (JavaScript, Excel/VBA) to support rapid data cleanup, transformation, enrichment, and reconciliation across large datasets.
- Collaborate with cross-functional partners to identify opportunities for improved data quality, consistency, and reporting automation.
- Enable and support self-service analytics by building reusable datasets, standardized dashboards, and clear documentation for internal users.
- Translate complex datasets into compelling narratives and recommendations tailored to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Develop strong domain expertise in Synapse Health data models, including referrals, fulfillment timelines, implementations, and vendor SLAs.
- Proactively document recurring analyses, data definitions, and workflows—contributing to a growing library of trusted data assets and best practices.
- Support day-to-day data platform operations, responding quickly to evolving business needs while maintaining accuracy and reliability.

- Proficiency with at least one modern data visualization tool (e.g., Sigma preferred, Tableau, Looker, Omni, or similar).
- Strong SQL skills and experience working with modern data stacks such as Snowflake, Databricks, or similar platforms.
- Advanced Excel capabilities, including VBA macros and large dataset normalization and reconciliation.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to clearly explain the “why” behind dashboards, metrics, and insights.
- Comfort operating in fast-paced environments where requirements evolve and iteration is expected.
- Demonstrated ability to quickly learn new tools, data models, and technologies as platforms mature.
- Healthcare, DME, or adjacent industry experience is a plus, including familiarity with claims, orders, and payor data structures (HCPCS, NPI, plan types, etc.).
What Sets You Apart:
- Strategic Thinking: Sees beyond individual requests to understand broader business objectives and long-term impact.
- Adaptability: Thrives amid change, ambiguity, and evolving priorities in a scaling organization.
- Sound Judgment: Makes thoughtful, data-informed decisions in complex and time-sensitive situations.

What We Do
At Synapse Health, we’re on a mission to transform the Durable Medical Equipment (DME) industry with innovative solutions that improve experience, accountability and transparency for all.
Synapse Health is a patient-focused, end-to-end technology-enabled solution that streamlines the entire DME process. We connect all the dots from the time an order is placed to the moment it is delivered to the patient (including administrative tasks like billing). We act as a catalyst for change across the DME ecosystem by connecting patients, prescribers, DME providers and payors, providing a seamless, efficient and positive experience.
Our solutions work in the background to manage every aspect of the DME process, providing real-time, accurate clinical and order information. This allows us to address patient needs faster and ensures orders are accurate and cost-effective. By improving accountability and transparency for all stakeholders, we are enhancing the overall experience. Together with our DME provider and prescriber partners, we provide patients with what they need, when and where they need it, simplifying the process and delivering better outcomes for everyone involved.
Why Work With Us
Our culture is built on a person-first mindset, starting with how we treat our team members and extending to the care we provide. We focus on fostering a warm, supportive environment that values each individual. Our mission-driven approach encourages transformation in healthcare, ensuring patients experience genuine, compassionate care.
