We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst - Cloud Resource Management to support a complex IT operations program within a Federal Law Enforcement Agency. As a Business Intelligence Analyst, you will play a key role in analyzing cloud resource usage, costs, and performance data to provide actionable insights that drive business decisions. You will work closely with cloud operations teams to develop reports and dashboards that track and optimize cloud resources, identify inefficiencies, and help the organization maximize its cloud infrastructure investments. You’ll be responsible for supporting the cloud management platform and collaborating with teams to enhance visibility into cloud resource consumption, cost management, and optimization strategies. This work is located onsite in the DC area.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collect, analyze, and report on cloud resource consumption data (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
- Develop regular and ad-hoc reports and dashboards to monitor cloud usage, costs, and performance metrics.
- Work with cross-functional teams to define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) related to cloud resource efficiency and utilization.
- Design and implement interactive dashboards and visualizations in BI tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Looker to present cloud resource utilization and cost data.
- Provide data visualizations that support the business in making informed decisions about cloud resources, budgets, and capacity planning.
- Integrate cloud resource data from platforms such as AWS Cost Explorer, Azure Cost Management, or other cloud APIs into centralized data repositories for analysis.
- Develop automation scripts or processes to streamline the collection and reporting of cloud data to ensure timely and accurate reporting.
- Provide analytical support for cloud infrastructure planning, deployment, and scaling efforts.
- Stay updated with cloud technologies, trends, and best practices to enhance the team’s ability to optimize cloud resources and provide value to the business.
- Document processes and workflows for cloud resource monitoring, reporting, and optimization.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Intelligence, Data Analytics, Cloud Computing, Computer Science, or a related field and 4+ years of relevant experience. Additional years of experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
- 2+ years of experience working with cloud resource management, cost optimization, or business intelligence in a cloud environment.
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Experience with business intelligence tools such as Power BI, Tableau, Looker, or similar.
- Proficiency in data querying and data manipulation using SQL or cloud-native data query languages (e.g., AWS Athena, Google BigQuery).
- Strong understanding of cloud cost management tools such as AWS Cost Explorer, Azure Cost Management, or equivalent.
- Experience with cloud platforms and tools for resource provisioning and management.
- Experience with data visualization and dashboarding tools like Power BI or Tableau.
- Strong ability to analyze cloud resource usage data and extract actionable insights.
- Comfort in identifying cost inefficiencies and making recommendations for resource optimization.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage large data sets with accuracy.
- Ability to present complex data insights in a clear and actionable way for non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills to work with cross-functional teams and support decision-making processes.
- Ability to work effectively with cloud operations teams, business units, and other technical teams.
- Comfortable presenting findings to senior leadership and technical teams to drive data-driven decision-making.
Desirable Skills:
- AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner, Azure Fundamentals, or other cloud certifications are a plus.
- Certifications in business intelligence tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) are beneficial.
- Experience with cloud governance frameworks or tools for managing cloud costs (e.g., CloudHealth, CloudCheckr).
- Familiarity with cloud automation tools or scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell) is a plus.

Pay Range:Pay Range $72,150.00 - $130,425.00The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
