UTA seeks a Business Affairs Assistant in our Film Business Affairs department. This position provides administrative and contract administration support to two Business Affairs Executives and offers exposure to entertainment transactions, business affairs, and entertainment law.
The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced client-focused environment, and understands the entertainment industry. This position is based in Beverly Hills, California.
This is a full-time position with benefits and will pay $25 per hour.
What You Will Do
Manage complex calendars and coordinate internal and external meetings, both in-office and offsite
Answer and route calls, take notes on deals and negotiations, and prepare meeting materials as needed
Support contract administration, including tracking deals, processing agreements, and maintaining contract records
Review, proofread, summarize, and track client agreements under executive supervision
Draft correspondence, maintain precedent charts, prepare documents, and provide general administrative support
Serve as a key point of contact for clients, agents, managers, attorneys, and executives
Conduct research, compile information, and support special projects
Stay informed on industry trends and business developments
What You Will Need
JD required
Active California Bar membership or eligibility to practice in another U.S. jurisdiction required
Ability to review, analyze, and understand contracts
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities independently
Professional judgment, discretion, and the ability to maintain strict confidentiality
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to build relationships with senior executives, clients, attorneys, agents, and partners
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Word), Adobe Acrobat, and internet research
Interest in the film industry and entertainment business
Experience at a law firm, studio, network, agency, or entertainment company is preferred
